It's fascinating that the rise of misinformation and distrust in medicine appears to have coincided with the advent of artificial intelligence tools, which are considered to be particularly potent for flattening the information divide between physician and patient. But while ChatGPT and other chatbots are empowering a certain subset of patient-customers, others are worse off today than they have ever been — mired in conspiracy theories and pure quackery, despite living within striking distance of the most sophisticated science and medicine in all of human history. Would love your thoughts on an essay I published with Harvard Medicine this week. As with many such phenomena, I firmly believe in the role of navigation companies like Thyme Care to help bridge these social vulnerabilities. https://lnkd.in/gQ-d7q4S

  • 📈 The pressure on oncology teams is growing — but so is the opportunity to rethink how we support them. By partnering directly with provider groups, Thyme Care extends their capacity, reaching out to patients between appointments to prevent issues before they escalate. At one practice, our team supported with 2,000+ proactive patient outreaches per month — checking in after treatments, closing referral loops, and responding to flagged symptoms in real time. It’s not just about volume; it’s about continuity. Each outreach represents one less urgent call and one more moment of stability for both patients and providers. 👉 Read the full story: https://hubs.li/Q03xbVNS0

  • 💡 What a meaningful evening at Light the Night Charlotte! Hosted by Blood Cancer United, the event united survivors, families, caregivers, and supporters in a powerful show of hope and remembrance for those affected by blood cancers. Our Thyme Care team was honored to be part of it — helping keep participants refreshed at our Hydration Station and sharing in the energy and compassion that filled the evening. Thank you to everyone who joined, walked, and helped make this night one to remember. 💜

  • Behind every person facing cancer, there’s often a family member, friend, or loved one who is quietly coordinating appointments, managing medications, cooking meals, and offering unwavering emotional support. These are the caregivers — the unsung heroes who hold it all together. 💜 At Thyme Care, we know that caregivers aren’t just part of the story: they’re essential members of a care team. Their resilience, insight, and compassion have a direct impact on a patient’s care experience and outcomes. That’s why our Care Team doesn’t just support members with cancer — we also provide resources, education, and emotional guidance to the people who care for them. As we recognize National Family Caregivers Month, we celebrate every caregiver who shows up with strength, empathy, and love, often without recognition. Supporting them means supporting better care, better experiences, and better health for everyone involved.

  • 🏥 Cancer doesn’t follow a predictable path — and neither should care management. Traditional case management has helped reduce costs and improve outcomes, but when it comes to oncology, there are some limitations: - Cancer demands high-frequency touchpoints and real-time visibility across multiple specialists. - Generic workflows can’t keep pace with changing treatment plans or urgent symptom needs. - Members need dedicated, oncology-trained teams that can respond, triage, and coordinate at scale. Enhancing case management with oncology navigation closes this gap—and changes outcomes. Learn how payers are adapting their models to better support members with cancer: https://hubs.li/Q03vs_Pp0

  • We had a great time at the American Oncology Network Clinical Summit 2025: Tomorrow’s Oncology Today in Dallas, TX! It was wonderful connecting with community oncology physicians, care teams, and business leaders who are driving innovation and collaboration across oncology care. Our team enjoyed connecting with so many of you at our exhibitor fair table—and we hope you grabbed a baked treat (or two)! A huge thank-you to American Oncology Network (AON) for hosting such an insightful and inspiring event, and to everyone who stopped by to say hello. We’re grateful for the opportunity to connect and share ideas on how we can continue improving cancer care together. 💜

  • 📊 25% of cancer survivors report ongoing psychological distress. Finishing treatment isn’t the end— it’s the start of a new, often complex phase of care. Yet, most care support models stop too soon. Survivorship can often bring: - Anxiety about recurrence and lasting side effects - Medication adherence challenges - Emotional and financial stress that persists for years It's clear that cancer care should evolve with survivors' needs. 📘 Read to learn more about what true survivorship support looks like: https://hubs.li/Q03xM3LD0
