Record keeping is key for business growth. Without it, even the best idea can struggle. Beyond skills training workshops, we equip beneficiaries with record-keeping tools to help them track their income and manage expenses, helping their micro-businesses thrive. You too can be part of this effort to transform the livelihoods and incomes of the people we train. Visit https://lnkd.in/dsM26fsp to donate. #SawaWorld #BusinessTip #MondayMotivation #NoPoverty

#DidYouKnow that solar dryers reduce the drying time of agricultural produce by half? This simple change means better-quality produce, higher market prices, and more money in farmers' pockets. Visit https://lnkd.in/daGdmi2b to learn this local income skill, or better yet, donate at https://lnkd.in/dsM26fsp to equip a smallholder coffee farmer with this skill. #SawaWorld #CoffeeFarming #Uganda #SolarDryers

Smallholder youth coffee farmers are often forced to sell their coffee prematurely because they urgently need money to meet their needs. This means they miss out on bigger profits that come from letting their coffee fully mature. Your donation can provide what they need: time for their coffee to fully mature. How? By helping them start a micro-business with a local income skill, they have a steady income between harvests. Visit https://lnkd.in/dsM26fsp to make your donation. #SawaWorld #UjanaCoffeeProject #CoffeeFarming #Uganda #NoPoverty

Share a coffee with kisala Pius, the founder of Kidi Coffee & Juices, a social enterprise empowering youth and farmers in Uganda's coffee sector. After losing both his parents, he had to drop out of university to start a job and support himself. While working at a coffee shop his fascination for this world grew: by interacting with baristas he discovered how coffee is crafted. This led to becoming a barista and co-founding a training school. During the pandemic, Kidi Coffee & Juices was born, embodying the mantra of “Knowledge Inspiring Determination, and Inventory.” Pius shares how the Fondazione Lavazza and Sawa World’s support was crucial for expanding his business, enhancing training and aiding coffee farmers. The future vision for Kidi is ambitious: “I aim to establish our institute as the leading coffee academy in Uganda, specializing in the entire coffee value chain from crop to cup” says Pius. His intent is not only to create an impact on the coffee sector but also to empower the next generation of coffee professionals.
