Last month, I faced a medical emergency and had to book an ambulance, but the one I arranged got cancelled at the last minute. I had heard about the Blinkit (India's instant delivery service App) ambulance service and, though a bit unsure, decided to give it a try. To my surprise, within just eight minutes, the vehicle arrived armed with four messiahs. The team came equipped with a portable oxygen cylinder, a stretcher, and devices to check the patient’s vitals.
When I asked them to handle her carefully because of my mom’s precarious leg condition, they assured me and said, ‘Madam, tension nahin kariye.’ The simple reassurance was such a huge relief!
The team first assessed ma’s condition and enquired about her medical history before moving her to the ambulance. Throughout the journey, they continued monitoring her vitals. I was truly impressed by the professionalism and compassion with which the young team managed the entire process, making it feel seamless.
When we later offered them a tip in gratitude, they politely declined. For now, the service is available free of cost in Gurgaon, and I must say the biggest takeaway was not just the efficiency, but the genuine kindness, empathy and smiling faces of the staff.
My mom is home now. I will not forget the timely help. My earnest gratitude to the young team and the service provider. The troupe was shy to take a picture, but I clicked a photo of the ambulance instead.
