At Fairmont Banff Springs, our Food & Beverage department is taking a bold step in the fight against food waste. Last year, we introduced Orbisk | Zero Food Waste AI image recognition technology in our staff cafeterias. Each plate that comes back is scanned, giving us real insights into what’s being wasted and in what amounts. Our colleagues see firsthand that they’re not just coming in for a meal, they’re contributing to something much bigger: a culture of sustainability and care that impacts our hotel, our community, and the environment around us.
