Yesterday we were honoured to have Minister Catherine King MP attend and officially open our new state-of-the-art Moorebank Logistics Precinct, home to our Regional (RDC) and National (NDC) Distribution Centres. This $1.3 billion precinct is the Group's largest-ever single investment, and it could not have happened without the incredible expertise and dedication of our Primary Connect team. From planning to construction and implementation, your work has been outstanding. Thank you! This investment is a game-changer for our team with the automation significantly reducing heavy manual handling. We are incredibly proud of our team and what we have achieved together. These facilities will move over 5 million cartons per week to supermarkets, creating a more resilient supply chain for Australia. We would like to thank all our key partners for this project, Dematic and Vanderlande for your support with the technology, our project and construction partners, National Intermodal, #ESR, Qube, Richard Crookes Constructions, Mainbrace Constructions Pty Ltd and #Tactical. #WoolworthsGroup #PrimaryConnect #Moorebank Amanda Bardwell Scott Perkins Chris Brooks Tamara Manasserian Richard Gill Annette Karantoni Matthew Spiteri Jared Buckby Ralph Kemmler Andrew Loveday #DavidMoncrieff

Today's Foodbank Hunger Report reveals a sobering reality: one in three Aussie households experienced food insecurity in the past year. We’re proud to partner with Foodbank to play a role in addressing this hunger crisis. We donated 1.4 million kilos of food from our Distribution Centres to Foodbank last year - that’s 2.8 million meals to Australians in need. We also support Foodbank with pro-bono transport services, including dedicated pallet spaces and temperature-controlled vehicles on critical routes like Adelaide to Darwin. We moved 7.7 million kilos last year - supporting Foodbank to provide 13.8 million meals to those Aussies that need it most. By leveraging our extensive retail network, we're converting surplus food into hope for communities across Australia. #HungerInAustralia #HungerCrisis #EndHunger #ZeroHunger Foodbank Australia Simon Lowden Chris Brooks Ben Newton Dale Acton Adam Fry Winfred Lai Adam Bray Kate S. Hunger doesn’t discriminate. The Foodbank Hunger Report 2025, released today, reveals a growing food insecurity crisis across Australia and challenges the misconception that hunger only affects the unemployed or homeless. “Australians are doing everything right: working, budgeting, seeking help - yet still going hungry. This is a failure of policy, not people. We need coordinated, national action now.” said Foodbank Australia CEO, Kylea (Pronounced Kylie) Tink Among the report’s most alarming findings: » One in two (48%) of all renting households have experienced food insecurity in the past year. » Seven in ten (67%) of households that include someone with a disability or health issue have experienced food insecurity in the past 12 months, with three quarters of them in the severe category. » Nearly 7 in 10 (68%) single-parent households are now food insecure » One in five households earning $91,000 or more experienced food insecurity in the past 12 months. We’re calling on the Federal Government to act now to stop Australians from going hungry. 👉Read the Foodbank Hunger Report 2025: https://lnkd.in/gfQjPnie #HungerInAustralia #HungerCrisis #EndHunger #ZeroHunger

We were delighted to host WA Deputy Premier, Hon Rita Saffioti MLA, and Hon Jessica Stojkovski MLA at our Perth Regional Distribution Centre (PRDC) to showcase a major milestone in our commitment to Western Australia. Our $100 million PRDC expansion has officially reached the 50% construction mark! This investment is a core part of our commitment to strengthening WA's supply chain resilience and food security. Our Interim Managing Director, Chris Brooks, was proud to lead the tour, highlighting how this project will future-proof the state's supply chain and support the WA Government's 'Food Security Plan'. Once operational in early 2027, this expansion will: - Add over 10,000 sqm of capacity, including 6,000 sqm of advanced temperature-controlled space and 4,600 sqm for ambient products. - Feature 14 new state-of-the-art ripening rooms to ensure WA families get fresher produce with a longer shelf-life. - Reduce reliance on interstate transport, insulating WA from national supply disruptions. - Support local jobs, creating 226 roles during construction and supporting 389 ongoing jobs. Thank you again to the Deputy Premier and Minister for joining us to mark this important step. Thank you also to our partners for this project, including Capstone Construction, Growthpoint Properties Australia and Perth Airport. We're proud to be investing in WA's long-term growth. Keeping shelves stocked isn't just about moving products from A to B. It's about building a supply chain that works for everyone - including our planet. As one of the largest supply chain networks in the country, we are investing in our DC network, leveraging our scale to have a positive impact by: - Electrifying our fleet with 28 electric vehicles, and trialling electric prime movers, and fast charging infrastructure - including our new 960kw EV charging unit at our Moorebank DC - Building smarter - our Moorebank DC features a 3.8MW solar generation system, is a strategically located site with an airbridge for product transfer, and has direct rail access to help reduce the number of trucks on the road. - Working with suppliers to move 58+ million reusable crates instead of single-use packaging - Strengthening our infrastructure so weather and disruptions don't leave communities without essentials Check out our full 2025 Sustainability Report to see how we’re building a supply chain for the future: https://lnkd.in/gffxe8hD Simon Lowden Chris Brooks Ben Newton Winfred Lai Tamara Manasserian Phillip Farrugia Michael Shelley Gregor Tuckerman Domenic Gagliardi Rick Dani Sean Leicester Matt Goodwin Joanna Hambling Craig Adams Bel Quince GAICD

A conversation can change a life 💛 Yesterday, we were proud to recognise R U OK? Day across our network. This year's theme, "Ask R U OK? Any day," is a powerful reminder that checking in on your colleagues should be a part of our daily routine. Our teams came together to mark the day with a focus on connection and wellbeing. From BBQs and bright yellow decorations to important team talks and guest speakers, it was inspiring to see so many meaningful conversations happening throughout the day. A simple question can make a world of difference so let’s keep the conversations going and ask R U OK? Any day. #RUOKDay #RUOK #WoolworthsGroup Melanie Cocca - Head of Safety, Injury, Wellbeing - Primary Connect (Woolworths Group), Alison Gleave, Jess Matthews, Richard Clark, Manaia Faiva

We were thrilled to introduce a new honour this year at our Transport Safety Day: 'The Extra Mile in Safety' Award. This award, nominated by our carrier partners, recognises an innovative safety initiative that can make a real difference to the industry and the community. A massive congratulations to Ron Finemore Transport for being the inaugural recipient! RFT were awarded for their partnership with St John's Ambulance and the NHVR, a brilliant initiative to place life-saving AEDs in their Refrigeration and General trucks based in the Central West . Given that trucks are often the first on the scene in rural and regional areas, this pilot program has the potential to save lives along key routes like the Great Western Highway. This is a powerful example of going the extra mile for the safety of our teams and the wider community. Thank you, Ron Finemore Transport, for your leadership. #supplychain #logistics #safety #transport #woolworthsgroup #safetyinnovation Ronald Finemore Sam Palmer Scott Finemore Chris Brooks Adam Fry
