For 2024 PRF Fellow Jane Kohlhoff, the Fellows Retreat on Minjerribah (North Stradbroke Island) with the Minjerribah Moorgumpin Elders-In-Council Aboriginal Corporation opened her eyes and heart, in a new way, to the experiences of First Nations people in Australia. Our friends at Impact Seed have published the first ever WA-specific industry report assessing the state of the WA impact investment market. The report 'Investing with Purpose' includes an assessment of current and forward deal flow, investor sentiment, and policy and market recommendations based on industry data and a survey of participants in the WA investment market. The report signals the growing appetite of investors for impact opportunities with 55% of survey respondents indicating that “social impact” would be of “main importance” to them in the coming 5 years – a percentage equal to those identifying “financial returns” as of “main importance”.
