At the McGrath Foundation, we pride ourselves on our consistency of care. 💗  This is one of the attributes CEO, Holly Masters, believes is essential for all leaders. In the third of a six-part series, she shares why it’s important for leaders to show up in the same way every day.  ✨ Consistency ✨  “If there’s one thing families tell us again and again, it’s how much our nurses’ consistency of care means to them,” Holly says.  “Patients know they will be met with steadiness, even when they themselves feel frightened or uncertain.  “That’s what leadership is – not one-off heroic moments, but consistency over time. 📈  “Teams take their cue from the energy leaders bring into the room. If I walk into a room anxious or angry, that ripples outward. Recently, our CEO Holly Masters sat down with The CEO Magazine Global to share why she believes nurses have leadership qualities that rival – and often surpass – those found in the boardroom. The way a nurse shows up can quite literally transform a patient’s experience - and those same qualities can transform the way all leaders show up for their people and organisations. According to Holly, some of the most profound lessons in leadership come from the quiet courage of nurses. In overwhelming situations, they bring calm and clarity. They show people the next step without overloading them. They take the chaos out of cancer.  “For business leaders, the role is similar. When Tara was pregnant with her second child, her world turned upside down. On Christmas Eve 2021, she received the news that she had breast cancer late in her pregnancy. Just days later, her beautiful baby girl arrived safely and two weeks after giving birth, Tara began treatment.
