Less than 36 hrs to go before opening! Our2nd Katalyst Foundation Kindergarten opens this Friday, a true gift to the people of Dama, Vanua Levu, Fiji. The clock is ticking!

Bula from our Tertiary Student Hostel in Suva! Education doesn’t just change one life, it changes families, communities and future generations. Yet, for many young people in Fiji, the dream of higher education fades due to poverty, distance or lack of support. It costs $4,500 AUD per student, per year to holistically support each of our students. Thanks to the generosity of donors and the incredible support from KOOKAÏ stores, our students have a promising future ahead of them. Hailing from Bua, Vanua Levu, their journeys would not have been possible without the financial support that Katalyst provides. Every dollar raised goes far beyond just tuition. Today was a beautiful reminder of what happens when a community comes together for the greater good. ❤️ Our incredible Lyndhurst team joined forces with the Katalyst Foundation for a hands on Community Day at St John Bosco Primary- a school that hasn’t felt this much love in decades. Together we rolled up our sleeves for a much needed deep clean, repaired and replaced worn walls, fitted new louvre windows and brought fresh colour to tired spaces with paint and polish. The energy was contagious, with so many staff turning up ready to scrub, paint and help! We can already imagine the wide eyes and big smiles when the children return to their transformed classrooms. 💛 A heartfelt thank-you to the organisers and every volunteer who made this morning such a brilliant success. Supporting St John Bosco Primary School, Suva. With overcrowded classrooms, some holding over 40 students, and three classes per year level, the school faces daily obstacles many of us could scarcely imagine. Many of the students arrive without basic necessities: no food, no shoes and no supplies. In some heartbreaking cases, older siblings wait patiently at lunchtime in the hopes of sharing what little their younger siblings leave behind. The need is real and urgent. At Katalyst, we believe that every child deserves the dignity of a safe, comfortable and inspiring learning environment. So far, we’ve proudly provided new desks and chairs for two classrooms, along with much-needed learning resources, reading books and shelving. But this is just the beginning. St John Bosco Primary School is now firmly on our radar for continued and much-needed assistance. Every classroom is in need of refurbishment and every child deserves more. Recently we returned to Father Law Home for the Elderly, a sanctuary of care and dignity since the 1950s in Lami, Viti Levu, Fiji. This time, we delivered much-needed furniture generously donated by Cabrini Health in Melbourne, in an effort to replace decades old, heavily worn furniture @cabrinihealthfoundation These new chairs will bring comfort to residents who face daily challenges with such resilience and grace.
