Work is officially underway at our development at Wighton Street, Margate! 🎉 We were thrilled to celebrate onsite with local MP Emma Comer and our partners as construction begins on 60 new social and affordable homes — supported by the Housing Australia Future Fund (HAFF Round 1). This landmark project will deliver a mix of affordable and social homes in an area of acute housing need. Delivered through a strong partnership between: - Bric Housing - Traders In Purple - Conscious Investment Management with support from City of Moreton Bay. Together, we’re building homes and creating opportunities for people in need — right in the heart of the Margate community. Celebrating 10 years of Impact at Henry St – a partnership between Bric Housing and Open Minds. Last week our residents, together with staff and other guests, came together to mark ten years of supported housing in Redcliffe. It was an opportunity to showcase the way in which housing and mental health support can together provide a pathway to independence and a place in the local community. The highlight was hearing from residents themselves what Henry St has meant to them. Thanks to all who attended, to Ivan Frkovic Mental Health Commissioner for his valuable perspective, to our funder Department of Housing and Public Works, and to local member Kerri-Anne Dooley MP for her support. 🚧 New Homes for North Brisbane 🏘️ Bric is proud to partner in a major new development delivering 152 new social and affordable homes in Carseldine — part of a $92.5 million project led in collaboration with Economic Development Queensland (EDQ) and SGCH, with support from the Housing Australia Future Fund Facility (HAFFF). This exciting initiative includes: ✅ 62 social housing homes ✅ 90 affordable housing homes ✅ 5-star Green Star rating from the Green Building Council of Australia SGCH, making its first venture outside NSW in 40 years, will lead development, while Bric Housing brings its local knowledge and strong community connections to manage the new homes. 💬 Bric CEO Jane West said: "We’re proud to be part of such a strong partnership. This project is about more than housing—it’s about creating great places to live and building stronger communities."
