Thanks to City of Moreton Bay for their strong interest and advocacy on supported housing – Bric and Open Minds were delighted to host them, and thanks to our residents Dan and April who spoke about their experience of living at Henry Street.
Today, the Mayor and Councillors visited the Henry Street supportive housing complex, operated by Bric Housing and Open Minds, which recently marked its 10-year anniversary. This milestone reflects a decade of delivering safe, sustainable housing and wraparound support services that foster connection and resilience. Council welcomed the opportunity to engage with Bric Housing and Open Minds to better understand current priorities and hear first-hand from tenants about the transformative impact of supportive housing in our City. Last week, we were delighted to attend the Queensland Mental Health Awards 2025, celebrating the individuals, groups and organisations driving positive change for mental health across the state. These awards shine a light on innovation, inclusion and the courage to challenge stigma - honouring those who create hope, connection and opportunity for people living with mental illness. Congratulations to all the nominees and winners whose work continues to inspire a more inclusive and mentally healthy Queensland. #QueenslandMentalHealthAwards #MentalHealthMatters #Inclusion #CommunityImpact

Celebrating 10 years of Impact at Henry St – a partnership between Bric Housing and Open Minds. Last week our residents, together with staff and other guests, came together to mark ten years of supported housing in Redcliffe. It was an opportunity to showcase the way in which housing and mental health support can together provide a pathway to independence and a place in the local community. The highlight was hearing from residents themselves what Henry St has meant to them. Thanks to all who attended, to Ivan Frkovic Mental Health Commissioner for his valuable perspective, to our funder Department of Housing and Public Works, and to local member Kerri-Anne Dooley MP for her support. And thanks especially to our valued and longstanding partner Open Minds – we look forward to the next ten years! #10YearsOfHenryStreet #OpenMinds #BricHousing
