As the official energy partner of St Kilda Football Club, we recently installed two 22 kW AC EV charging stations at RSEA Park for players and staff. Our in-house charge point management system, Everty (an AGL company), gives the Club full control, including managing users, tracking sessions, and generating reports - all in one place. We’ve also recently extended our partnership with the football club for another season, celebrating five years of AGL supporting the Saints AFL and AFLW teams and connecting their players and members to a sustainable future. From last year’s 300 kW solar installation to this latest EV solution at the club, we’re helping the Saints and our customers electrify the way they live, move, and work. #EV #Emobility #Electrification #Jointhechange

Grid-scale batteries play an important role in Australia's energy transition by helping keep the electricity grid in balance as we shift to a renewable energy system. By storing excess energy and releasing it when demand is high, grid-scale batteries help support a more stable and reliable energy system. Today we announced a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Tilt Renewables to offtake electricity generation from the Waddi Wind Farm in Western Australia. Renewable energy PPAs help us to diversify our energy portfolio, support the decarbonisation of our electricity supply and help us support our customers to decarbonise by increasing the renewable energy linked supply within our portfolio. PPAs also play an important role in accelerating the energy transition as they can help to underwrite new renewable generation. Did you know that cultural burns are a traditional practice to maintain ecosystems and reduce fire hazards? We recently supported the Kaurna Firesticks Team to conduct a ‘cool burn’ at our Torrens Island site through our partnership with the Firesticks Alliance. The Team’s work helps reconnect Kaurna people to their cultural fire traditions and supports in training the next generation of cultural fire practitioners. The cultural burns followed extensive preparation, including removing fuel load and monitoring the moisture of the soil to ensure a safe burn. Thank you to the Kaurna Fire Team for allowing our Torrens Island team to observe and learn more about the practice. #TorrensIsland #FirstNations #Reconciliation #FiresticksAlliance
