We are delighted to announce that 5B is a finalist for S&P Global's Platts Global Energy Awards! 🏆 Our nomination for the Corporate Impact - Targeted Program category was based on our contribution to the groundbreaking collaboration between the Marlinja community and First Nations’ non-profit renewable energy developer Original Power. The project is the first 100% Indigenous-owned, grid connected solar microgrid anywhere in #Australia. 5B proudly contributed its 5B Maverick #solararray for the microgrid, which has supported this community to achieve greater self determination through access to clean, affordable, reliable energy, leveraging the unique attributes of our solar technology, being prefabricated and fast-to-deploy. Before the project, the Marlinja residents were reliant on the government-run diesel power station, and accessed energy via prepayment meters. As a result residents experienced frequent household electricity disconnections due to high energy costs. The microgrid is now supplying solar credits direct to household meters on a weekly basis, as a proportion of solar produced, helping keep power costs low and improving community wellbeing. #PlattsGEA #Awards2025 #EnergyIndustry

Today (1 November) marks the start of the cyclone season in Northern Australia. We have two big pieces of news today: ☀️ 5B has secured AUD 46 million in incentives and funding from the Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA) – proudly the first beneficiary of the Australian Government’s Solar Sunshot program. 💥 And there’s more – we have already closed an order over 100 MW with this incentive – our biggest order to date. We are grateful to the Government and ARENA for backing an Australian company that is rapidly becoming the solar technology of choice for miners and other industrial players looking to decarbonise. It is an incredible milestone to be recognised as an essential part of the solar supply chain and an essential part of the national energy transition. Thank you to the Minister for Climate Change and Energy, the Hon. Chris Bowen MP, the Hon.
