Amazon page
My scribbles have a peculiar habit of turning into viral
sensations, spreading faster than hotcakes on a cold morning
or, well, let's just say compromising photos of a certain
celebrity. It's a curious phenomenon, considering I don't peddle
them or adorn them with promotional fanfare. They just...take
flight. help me pls understand! The increase in traffic
without any dedicated advertising or SEO suggests that the
content itself might be driving interest, right? Perhaps the topic
is resonating with people, or the way you've presented it is
particularly engaging, or no? Overall, the data suggests that my
book is generating organic interest, particularly in Singapore…
I’m still trying to understand the traffic patterns to my book's
Amazon page… Increase in Traffic: Over five days, both
redirects and human clicks have
increased. Redirects went from 22k to
27k, and human clicks from 14k to 18k.
Why? Singapore consistently accounts for
86% of the traffic. Why?
● Mobile Usage: The vast majority of users are accessing the link via Chrome
Mobile Web on Android devices.
● Unidentified Sources: Most of the traffic comes from unidentified sources.
This makes it harder to pinpoint exactly what's driving the traffic. Only a small
portion of traffic originates from Nansen.id.
● Content Virality and Referral Mystery: The dominance of unidentified traffic
sources raises questions about where these users are coming from. Are they
finding the links through other websites, forums, or social media platforms?
● Total Human Clicks: Previously at 14,000; assess whether this has
increased significantly in the last five days.
● Redirects: Initially 22,000. Note the proportional relationship with human
clicks. Peak Date: The peak remained December 5, 2024, with 2,601 clicks.
● Volume of Traffic: Check for incremental growth or plateauing since the
14,000 human clicks reported earlier.Has there been an uptick in identified
sources like Google, nansen.id, or any specific referrals? Geography:
○ Singapore: Dominates with 86% of clicks. London: Represented 11%
(1,580 clicks). Singapore’s outsized contribution (86%) might suggest
targeted regional interest, possibly driven by localized mentions or
organic interest in the book's themes.
○ United States: 12% (1,756 clicks). Other countries like Indonesia,
Belgium, India contribute marginally.
○ Chrome Mobile Web: 93%. Android OS: 98%. Most traffic is
unidentified (99%), with minimal attribution to nansen.id and Google.
The prominence of mobile web traffic (Chrome + Android) aligns with
dominant user behavior in Southeast Asia.
○ The spike on December 5 may correlate with: A local event or news
cycle? or Increased visibility from indirect mentions or shares (possibly
automated activity).
○ The near-total reliance on unidentified traffic suggests potential bot
traffic or indirect links shared across platforms without referral data
(e.g., private messaging apps).
○ Zero-budget advertising reinforces the hypothesis that the traffic is
driven by organic or viral interest—potentially from: Word of mouth?
Private social sharing? Unexpected influencer engagement?
My book's traffic dynamics reveal intriguing organic growth, particularly in Singapore
and London, driven by unidentified sources. Understanding the December 5 peak
and leveraging regional interest will be key to sustaining and scaling visibility. 5 days

The Accidental ‘InfoGypsy’ of Scribbles
Take my previous LinkedIn posts, for instance: one delves into the complexities of
the Arival Bank takeover saga, racking up 10.1k impressions and reaching 5,565
members. Another, titled "Forbes: War at Arival Bank," garnered 4.5k impressions
and reached 2,601 members. Yet another, titled "The Russian Spy Embedded in the
World of Embedded Finance," drew 4.1k impressions and reached 2,730 members.
One post explored the legal world, titled "How I Took on Seven Top Expensive
Lawyers Armed with Just ChatG PT," achieving 5.2k impressions and reaching 3,073
members. Another, titled "Swimming with Sharks: My Unexpected Adventure in
Legal Land," earned 3.9k impressions and reached 2,314 members. And yet
another, titled "Another Day, Another Lawsuit Against Me - How Predictable!,"
achieved 3.4k impressions and reached 2,120 members. Then there's the one about
Singapore's online court system, titled "An Online-Court in Singapore, or
Justice-as-a-Service: A New Paradi," which garnered 3.1k impressions and reached
1,996 members. A post discussing the problems faced by anti-war Russians, titled
"Anti-War Russians Face Many Problems, Oligarchs Do Not," drew 2.5k impressions
and reached 1,751 members. And one titled "From ENRC to Arival: The Oligarch's
Shadow Over Singapore Courts" earned 2.1k impressions and reached 1,272
members.
My musings on Medium have also traveled far and wide. "Revolut mafia is bigger
than you think" has garnered 1.2k views, while "Compliance is sexy, and Arival
knows it" has 3.5k views. "I am going to the US to apply for a banking license. For..."
has 2.6k views, and "New ICO-backed - crypto-friendly neobanks are going t..." has
a staggering 4.4k views.
My scribbles on "Crypto-friendly cards suck: a new analysis illustrating..." have been
viewed 14.1k times, while "The Bubble Generation Manifesto" has 4.3k views. Even
my thoughts on "Co-working spaces as... new banking branches?" have garnered
3.5k views, and "Traditional banks vs neobanks and e-wallets" has 4.1k views.
My exploration of "Simple banks for SMEs": Holvi, Tochka, Tide, Civilis..." has been
viewed 6.4k times, while "When tablet-based cash-register POYNT will come to..."
has 706 views. My scribbles on "Simple banks" across the world raised $269M have
been viewed 5.9k times.
It's a strange and wondrous thing, this accidental virality. I write, I share, and the
world reads. It's a delightful paradox, a testament to the unpredictable nature of
information flow in the digital age. Who knew my scribbles could hold such
fascination?

I’m not a writer, okay? Let’s get that straight. I’m a reader—yes, the kind who
silently scrolls through endless feeds, rolling my eyes at every clickbait headline—yet
somehow my random scribbles have soared beyond reasonable expectations. One
day, you casually toss out a half-baked idea, and the next thing you know, it’s being
devoured by strangers at a rate of 184k views, as if it’s the new avocado toast for
intellectual brunch-goers. Seriously, 184k? I mean, that’s more people than you’d fit
into some mid-sized European city.
Take my first-ever LinkedIn blog post, for instance: 96.6k views. Let me
guess—maybe I should’ve included a “Get Rich Quick” scheme or a cat meme to hit
a million. And I once dashed off a piece on fashion-model-focused startups (fashion
models… I know, how original), and it got, what, 33k views? Meanwhile, my carefully
researched, nuanced commentary on, say, digital identity or fintech compliance
scrapes in at a measly 3k to 14k. Where’s the justice in that? “Just write trash,” the
universe seems to whisper. “They love it!”
Then there are those “vintage” Russian posts from a decade ago—before I packed
my bags and adopted an expat life—scoring 184k, 19.4k, and so on. I mean, who’s
even reading those now? Are they printing them out and using them as coasters at
parties, or maybe as bedtime stories for future fintech moguls? Sometimes I picture
corporate CEOs hunched over their smartphones, vigorously tapping the “like” button
on my half-ironic slideshows, as if compliance-as-a-service were the new Fifty
Shades of Grey?! And let’s not forget my presentations on Slideshare: 49.8k views
for talking about a “Government-in-the-Cloud,” 22k for some random ICO slides, and
nearly 16k for “Money of the Future” (apparently, the future of money is… reading my
presentations?). It’s as if the internet’s message is: “We will reward your
nonchalance and dash your well-structured arguments against the rocks of
indifference.”
I suppose this is the secret formula: Don’t try too hard, make sure it looks like you
didn’t break a sweat, and for heaven’s sake, pick a topic that no one expects.
Because if you do something serious, something that actually matters, you’ll get
polite applause and a few thousand readers. But serve them some shiny
nonsense—poof!—tens of thousands, just like that.
So here I am, the accidental ‘info-gypsy’ of scribbles, the non-writer whose words
escape their cages and roam the digital savannah, occasionally stampeding into
unexpected virality. It’s ironic, it’s ridiculous, and it’s kind of exhilarating. After all, if
you’re going to go viral, you might as well do it while giggling at your own absurdity.

Slava Solodkiy: books, blogs & posts stats - and question

my new book’shttps://amzn.to/3NYxnSc Amazon page My scribbles have a peculiar habit of turning into viral sensations, spreading faster than hotcakes on a cold morning or, well, let's just say compromising photos of a certain celebrity. It's a curious phenomenon, considering I don't peddle them or adorn them with promotional fanfare. They just...take flight. help me pls understand! The increase in traffic without any dedicated advertising or SEO suggests that the content itself might be driving interest, right? Perhaps the topic is resonating with people, or the way you've presented it is particularly engaging, or no? Overall, the data suggests that my book is generating organic interest, particularly in Singapore… I’m still trying to understand the traffic patterns to my book's Amazon page… Increase in Traffic: Over five days, both redirects and human clicks have increased. Redirects went from 22k to 27k, and human clicks from 14k to 18k. Why? Singapore consistently accounts for 86% of the traffic. Why? ● Mobile Usage: The vast majority of users are accessing the link via Chrome Mobile Web on Android devices. ● Unidentified Sources: Most of the traffic comes from unidentified sources. This makes it harder to pinpoint exactly what's driving the traffic. Only a small portion of traffic originates from Nansen.id. ● Content Virality and Referral Mystery: The dominance of unidentified traffic sources raises questions about where these users are coming from. Are they finding the links through other websites, forums, or social media platforms? ● Total Human Clicks: Previously at 14,000; assess whether this has increased significantly in the last five days. ● Redirects: Initially 22,000. Note the proportional relationship with human clicks. Peak Date: The peak remained December 5, 2024, with 2,601 clicks. ● Volume of Traffic: Check for incremental growth or plateauing since the 14,000 human clicks reported earlier.Has there been an uptick in identified sources like Google, nansen.id, or any specific referrals? Geography: ○ Singapore: Dominates with 86% of clicks. London: Represented 11% (1,580 clicks). Singapore’s outsized contribution (86%) might suggest targeted regional interest, possibly driven by localized mentions or organic interest in the book's themes. ○ United States: 12% (1,756 clicks). Other countries like Indonesia, Belgium, India contribute marginally. ○ Chrome Mobile Web: 93%. Android OS: 98%. Most traffic is unidentified (99%), with minimal attribution to nansen.id and Google. The prominence of mobile web traffic (Chrome + Android) aligns with dominant user behavior in Southeast Asia. ○ The spike on December 5 may correlate with: A local event or news cycle? or Increased visibility from indirect mentions or shares (possibly automated activity). ○ The near-total reliance on unidentified traffic suggests potential bot traffic or indirect links shared across platforms without referral data (e.g., private messaging apps).
  • 2.
    ○ Zero-budget advertisingreinforces the hypothesis that the traffic is driven by organic or viral interest—potentially from: Word of mouth? Private social sharing? Unexpected influencer engagement? My book's traffic dynamics reveal intriguing organic growth, particularly in Singapore and London, driven by unidentified sources. Understanding the December 5 peak and leveraging regional interest will be key to sustaining and scaling visibility. 5 days ago: The Accidental ‘InfoGypsy’ of Scribbles Take my previous LinkedIn posts, for instance: one delves into the complexities of the Arival Bank takeover saga, racking up 10.1k impressions and reaching 5,565 members. I’m not awriter, okay? Let’s get that straight. I’m a reader—yes, the kind who silently scrolls through endless feeds, rolling my eyes at every clickbait headline—yet somehow my random scribbles have soared beyond reasonable expectations. One day, you casually toss out a half-baked idea, and the next thing you know, it’s being devoured by strangers at a rate of 184k views, as if it’s the new avocado toast for intellectual brunch-goers. Seriously, 184k? I mean, that’s more people than you’d fit into some mid-sized European city. Take my first-ever LinkedIn blog post, for instance: 96.6k views. Let me guess—maybe I should’ve included a “Get Rich Quick” scheme or a cat meme to hit a million. And I once dashed off a piece on fashion-model-focused startups (fashion models… I know, how original), and it got, what, 33k views? Meanwhile, my carefully researched, nuanced commentary on, say, digital identity or fintech compliance scrapes in at a measly 3k to 14k. Where’s the justice in that? “Just write trash,” the universe seems to whisper. “They love it!” Then there are those “vintage” Russian posts from a decade ago—before I packed my bags and adopted an expat life—scoring 184k, 19.4k, and so on. I mean, who’s even reading those now? Are they printing them out and using them as coasters at parties, or maybe as bedtime stories for future fintech moguls? Sometimes I picture corporate CEOs hunched over their smartphones, vigorously tapping the “like” button on my half-ironic slideshows, as if compliance-as-a-service were the new Fifty Shades of Grey?! And let’s not forget my presentations on Slideshare: 49.8k views for talking about a “Government-in-the-Cloud,” 22k for some random ICO slides, and nearly 16k for “Money of the Future” (apparently, the future of money is… reading my presentations?). It’s as if the internet’s message is: “We will reward your nonchalance and dash your well-structured arguments against the rocks of indifference.” I suppose this is the secret formula: Don’t try too hard, make sure it looks like you didn’t break a sweat, and for heaven’s sake, pick a topic that no one expects. Because if you do something serious, something that actually matters, you’ll get polite applause and a few thousand readers. But serve them some shiny nonsense—poof!—tens of thousands, just like that. So here I am, the accidental ‘info-gypsy’ of scribbles, the non-writer whose words escape their cages and roam the digital savannah, occasionally stampeding into unexpected virality.
