MMU conducted a review of its learning technologies to identify a new virtual learning environment (VLE) and other technologies. The review was driven by the upcoming end-of-life of the current WebCT VLE and a new learning, teaching, and assessment strategy. The review recommended adopting Moodle as the new VLE and making improvements to classroom technologies, learning resources, and digital literacy training for staff. Next steps included deploying Moodle, migrating content from WebCT, and conducting a second phase of the review to evaluate additional technologies.
