Assistant Professor, Bioinformatics for Proteomics @ Utrecht University, Albert Heck lab. Currently leading a group of 4 bioinformaticians. I'm also involved in several activities in the Netherlands Bioinformatics Centre (NBIC) such as leading the Proteomics Taskforce and as faculty member. In the (near) future I envision the bioinformatics for proteomics to play a role in integrating and complementing other ~omics fields. My personal (future) goal is to become more involved in steering and managing new bioinformatics initiatives as a scientific advisor or manager.
