I was honored to moderate the “Enhancing Aviation Safety Through Innovation” panel at this year’s American Aviation Leadership Summit in Washington, D.C. It was an inspiring discussion about how technology, collaboration and innovation will shape the next era of aviation safety.   A sincere thank you to my fellow panelists Todd Sigler (Boeing), Eric Holmberg (Gulfstream Aerospace), and Captain Steve Jangelis (Air Line Pilots Association) for sharing your expertise and perspectives on enhancing safety.   Our discussion covered some of the most critical topics facing the industry today: 1. Runway Safety 2. GNSS Jamming & Spoofing 3. AI for Real-Time Decision Support 4. Clear Air Turbulence (CAT) and developing solutions to better anticipate and respond to invisible turbulence   At Honeywell Aerospace, we’re proud to lead development of technologies that enhance every aspect of flight safety, including everything from runway awareness and resilient navigation to AI-driven flight decks and advanced weather detection.   As we prepare to launch as a standalone company, our mission remains clear: to make air travel safer, more efficient and more sustainable for everyone.   My thanks to the AAL Summit organizers and everyone striving to make the future of aviation smarter and safer than ever.   #AviationSafety #TheSkiesWeShare #AviationLeadership

Proud to have joined industry leaders in Ottawa this week for the Space Bound Conference, hosted by Space Canada | Espace Canada. As a board member organization, Honeywell Aerospace Technologies is committed to supporting Canada’s growing leadership in the space economy. I had the opportunity to participate in a panel, speaking on the topic, “The Commercialization of Space and the Economic Opportunity,” moderated by journalist Vassy Kapelos, alongside an impressive group of leaders. Key takeaways from the conference include Canada’s role in returning to the Moon, highlighted by Jean-Claude Piedboeuf from the Canadian Space Agency | Agence spatiale canadienne, a heartfelt tribute to honorable Marc Garneau, Canadas first astronaut, and Minister Mélanie Joly’s announcement of a significant increase in Canada’s contribution to the European Space Agency - ESA. An inspiring week for Canada’s space sector and an exciting look ahead at the opportunities before us.

Following the American Aviation Leadership Summit in Washington, D.C., it’s clear the conversations we anticipated are already shaping the direction of U.S. aviation. The discussions highlighted the need for aligned action on aviation safety, air traffic modernization, advanced air mobility, and sustaining global competitiveness. Honeywell’s expertise — from runway safety systems to autonomy, connectivity, and control systems platforms like Honeywell Attune™ and Honeywell Assure™— played a central role, demonstrating how our technologies advance safety, reliability, and efficiency across the skies we share. This summit reinforced that leadership in aviation depends on collaboration. I’m proud of our teams for driving innovation and representing Honeywell as a trusted partner in shaping the future of flight.

President & CEO, AUVSI | U.S. Navy Reserve

Thank you to Honeywell Aerospace Technologies, James Currier, David Shilliday, & Sean P. Deverey for hosting another tremendous American Aviation Leadership Summit. I was motiviated to lead a conversation with Florida Department of Transportation Secretary Jared W. Perdue, P.E. to discuss the investments Florida is making in workforce & infastructure to lead the way in Advanced Air Mobility. We also touched on how Florida has successfully transitioned away from unsecure PRC drones to secure U.S. & allied technology & is leading the nation with public safety drone operations, setting examples for other states to follow. Tremendous to also hear from U.S. Department of Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy & his vision for the future of air traffic management & how that will be built to incorporate advanced aviation technologies, including autonomy. Federal Aviation Administration Administrator Bryan Bedford doubled down on Duffy's remarks, detailing more on the timeline for ATC modernization actions. My favorite panel was with AUVSI members Wisk, Reliable Robotics Corporation, & Anduril Industries featuring Cynthia Comer, Scott O'Brien, & Malcolm Langlois with moderator Erin Rivera, Esq. discussing the pathway towards certification of autonomous systems. Thank you again to Team Honeywell for including AUVSI — Association for Uncrewed Vehicle Systems International in your event & for your tremendous leadership in the aviation industry. In addition to the U.S. government leaders from DOT, FAA, & Congress that took part in the summit, more than 100 Members of Congress attended the reception after the summit - that was seriously firepower in one event throughout the day! Vice President and General Manager | Advanced Air Mobility

Thank you to everyone who joined Honeywell Aerospace and our team at the American Aviation Leadership Summit. We were honored to bring together policymakers, regulators, operators, and innovators—all united by a shared mission: keeping our skies safe while accelerating the future of flight. What an energizing day! The conversations and collaboration made it clear—the future of aviation isn’t just coming, it’s here.   Here are a few key insights that stood out for me: ·      Collaboration is the catalyst. Government, industry, and innovators must work together to modernize airspace and integrate new entrants like AAM and uncrewed systems. No single stakeholder can do this alone. ·      Safety is evolving—not static. Runway awareness, predictive insights, and automation are redefining what “safe” means in a more complex, connected ecosystem. We need to raise the bar everywhere, from the cockpit to the control tower. ·      Infrastructure is more than technology. Hardware and software matter—but people matter more. Investing in training and resilience will be critical as traffic grows and systems become more automated. ·      U.S. leadership in AAM is urgent. Global competitors are moving fast. We need clear regulations, public engagement, and investment now to ensure the U.S. leads in advanced air mobility.   The conversations at the summit reinforced why Honeywell Aerospace is committed to shaping a safer, smarter, and more efficient aviation ecosystem. The skies we share deserve nothing less. #HoneywellAerospace #AmericanAviationLeadership

FAA Administrator Bryan Bedford attended Honeywell Aerospace Technologies' American Aviation Leadership Summit to discuss what’s next for the future of the NAS. Together with Honeywell, we’ll continue the work to modernize airspace design, build a brand-new ATC system, and keep asking the bold questions that drive change. Our dedicated workforce is ready to deliver both aviation safety and innovation.

At yesterday’s American Aviation Leadership Summit we heard from Federal Aviation Administration Administrator Bryan Bedford and a host of leaders from across the aviation sector. Close to 300 people gathered to tackle issues from ATC modernization and runway safety to global competitiveness in the burgeoning Advanced Air Mobility market. Watch this space later this week for more insights from the event.

President, Engines & Power Systems at Honeywell International

Yesterday I had the pleasure of attending the inaugural American Aviation Leadership Summit in Washington D.C., where leaders from across our field came together with a shared purpose. The conversations were focused and direct. How do we act with speed and purpose to strengthen the systems that protect our airspace? How do we anticipate global pressures and respond with clarity? How do we align our efforts so the entire industry moves forward together?   For Honeywell Aerospace Technologies, action today defines advancement tomorrow. We’re preparing for our next chapter as a standalone aerospace company and that means doubling down on the work that delivers real outcomes. Stronger solutions. Faster progress. Deeper partnership with the people who rely on us in the air and on the ground.   None of this happens in isolation. The AAL Summit speaks volumes to the fact that our leadership grows when we stand side-by-side with our partners across government and industry. I’m grateful to everyone who joined and to everyone who continues to push this sector towards a stronger and more resilient future.   Our skies deserve nothing less.
