Enterprise AI Resources, References, and Recommendations - from the desk of Tim Creasey

Quick links to curated resources for understanding Enterprise AI.

I’ve been experimenting with and observing AI pretty closely over the year with a lens of enterprise adoption and impact rather than the technical details (though I try and stay up). Recently, I’ve observed a growing knowledge gap in understanding AI development and capabilities. While organizations may include five generations based on birth year, there are even more nuanced strata of 'AI fluency' among employees—shaping decisions and experiencing AI’s impact.

I’ve had a number of people ask me for recommendations about AI-related content, and have pulled it together now in this article. Here is my current list of resources and recommendations, compiled as of January 27, 2025. Like the frontiers of AI development (heard of DeepSeek?), the list will certainly continue to change. But if you’re looking to deepen your understanding of AI in enterprises, this list is a great starting point.

There are five categories:

  1. Favorites – My top picks for essential AI content that has shaped my understanding and perspective.
  2. State of Enterprise AI Right Now, with Data – Key reports and surveys providing data-driven insights on AI adoption in organizations.
  3. People Side of Enterprise AI – Resources focusing on how AI impacts people, processes, and adoption strategies.
  4. More Foundation and More Year in Review – Foundational and retrospective content to build understanding and track AI’s evolution.
  5. Other Content from Me – My own contributions and reflections on AI adoption and integration.

Thank you Tim. I am a big fan of Conor Grennan. As I continue to dig in to developing AI workflows and agents and the tech stack and thinking skills needed in this space, I do see a key emergence of both tech fluency and mindset shifts. I am in agreement with Conor on the mindset shift need but for me personally this has been tied to advancing my tech skills (and the tech changes daily). A super fast ADK (of ADKAR) cycle daily! What are your thoughts on tech stack skills? Both are also critical ot AI Governance, as well.
