Announcing the Octopus MCP Server
We're excited to announce the Octopus MCP Server, which lets the AI assistants you use interact directly with Octopus to explore, analyze, and troubleshoot your instance. The Octopus MCP Server works alongside your source control, CI, and cloud MCP tooling, helping you connect the dots across your DevOps ecosystem in one chat window. All interactions are logged and auditable for security and compliance.
Kubernetes object pruning
We’re exploring an upgrade to improve Kubernetes deployments in Octopus — automatic object pruning. It’ll let Octopus remove Kubernetes resources deployed in previous releases but excluded from the latest one, keeping your clusters clean and consistent.
We need your help to design a feature that solves real problems and adds real value. We’d love to hear how you handle resource cleanup today and get your feedback on our early ideas.
Behind the Scenes: Designing Argo CD in Octopus
Argo CD in Octopus is now in early access for all Cloud customers. In our latest blog post, Lead Designer Kirsten Schwarzer shares how the team shaped the feature, from the first sketches to the finished experience.

Help shape Change Traceability in Octopus
When something breaks, finding what changed in your environment shouldn’t mean digging through Jira, Git, CI/CD logs, and endless dashboards.
We’re exploring a new Octopus Deploy feature to give you an understanding of what has changed in all your environments — releases, hot-fixes, feature toggles , configuration tweaks, infrastructure updates, and more.
We need your input. Share your challenges in a 60‑minute interview and help shape the future of Octopus Deploy.
IT teams across the Eurofins network complete hundreds of deployments a day with Octopus
Before using Octopus, Eurofins’ delivery process included time-consuming, manual steps. With 950 labs across 60 countries, Eurofins IT teams needed a centralized way to tailor, orchestrate, and automate hundreds of complex software deployments at scale.
Using Octopus, IT teams across the Eurofins network now conduct hundreds of deployments a day. They orchestrate complex deployments to different locations, all with one tool. They’ve also matured their deployment pipelines, automating and standardizing processes across the organization.
Compliance through Continuous Delivery Report
Financial services organizations struggle with balancing software delivery speed and regulatory compliance. Traditional manual deployment pipelines create instability when expedited changes bypass normal checks.
This report, surveying 50 financial organizations in 2025, shows how automated Continuous Delivery pipelines can simultaneously increase throughput and stability, resolving the speed-versus-safety trade-off.
Product Improvements
We're continually improving Octopus, from squashing bugs to enhancing features.
Here are some of the latest improvements:
- You can now search and filter the latest deployments on a deployment target by project
- OIDC subject claims can now include the project group
- We have added SMTP OAuth 2.0 support for Azure Communication Service by allowing custom scopes
- Deployments using Cloud Target Discovery will now fail if no targets are located, rather than succeeding with a warning, proving more accurate deployment status’
- The Change Number for ITSM deployments is now available to use in steps as a variable
Happy deployments!
