We partnered with the ACT Government to launch a new battery energy storage system at Mount Stromlo High School in Canberra.
This installation is part of a broader initiative that includes three battery sites across Canberra, with the Mt Stromlo site featuring a 280 kWh, 100 kW battery integrated with solar energy solutions. These systems will help deliver greater energy resilience and reliability for the ACT Government as they work towards their ambitious sustainability targets.
Partnerships like this demonstrate how AGL can work with government and industry to deliver practical outcomes that advance the energy transition and demonstrates our commitment in decarbonising the way our customers live, move and work.

AGL Electrify Now Co-Founder and Product Manager Jessica Poole has always wanted to live a sustainable lifestyle.
“I’m an advocate for electrification. Even before joining AGL, I used to work as an engineer, designing and installing commercial solar systems,” she shares.
Jessica’s role as a product manager at AGL is grounded in her passion for renewable energy and helping people electrify their homes.
Day-to-day, she helps customers to understand their goals and find electrification upgrades that fit their situation.

AGL signs renewable energy PPA to support WA customers
We announced a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Tilt Renewables to offtake electricity generation from the Waddi Wind Farm in Western Australia.
Renewable energy PPAs help us to diversify our energy portfolio, support the decarbonisation of our electricity supply and help us support our customers to decarbonise by increasing the renewable energy linked supply within our portfolio.
They also play an important role in accelerating the energy transition as they can help to underwrite new renewable generation.
