Adobe + Topaz Labs 🤝
This week at Adobe MAX 🎉 Topaz Labs’ proprietary AI models were announced in the newest version of Adobe Photoshop! You can now upscale, sharpen, and denoise directly in Photoshop using Topaz Labs technology. We’ve been working hard to make this happen, and it’s finally here. 🙌
Use select models from Topaz Gigapixel and Topaz Bloom in the new Generative Upscale feature to achieve sharper, more detailed images—no plugins needed.
Key takeaways: AI-Driven Features: Learn about Adobe Sensei and Adobe Firefly, which are AI technologies that simplify tedious tasks and enhance creativity across Adobe Creative Cloud applications.
Application in Various Tools: Discover how AI features are integrated into Photoshop, Lightroom, Illustrator, InDesign, Adobe Stock, and Adobe Express to streamline workflows and improve design quality.
Practical Techniques: Gain practical knowledge on using AI for tasks like object selection, image restoration, color harmonization, and generative fill, among others, to save time and boost productivity in your design projects.
Adobe MAX 2025 just wrapped up, and the announcements from Adobe are nothing short of a game‑changer. Here’s what stood out:
• Adobe is firmly planting their flag in the AI space — not just “add‑ons,” but core creative workflows.
• Their generative tool ecosystem (via Adobe Firefly) now brings together top‑tier models from Adobe and partners like Google, OpenAI, Runway, Topaz Labs.
• Firefly Image Model 5 (public beta) introduces native 4‑megapixel generation, advanced layered editing and “prompt‑to‑edit” workflows that blur the lines between ideation and production.
• These updates span images, video, audio, design: For example – auto‑generated soundtracks, speech/voiceover models, agentic AI assistants embedded in Photoshop, Express, Premiere.
• Big for creators: Unlimited Firefly image & video generations are offered through December 1, 2025, meaning now’s a perfect time to explore.
We live in the era of “idea to finished asset” and the gap is shrinking fast. With these Adobe updates:
- We can ideate, prototype and deliver audiovisual content much faster.
- The creative opportunities are no longer constrained by “I need to know how to play this instrument/use that plugin.”
- As a studio that focuses on AI‑driven content (audio + visual) for clients, this means more professional outputs, more flexibility and more scalability.
🚀 At AVIADOR, we’ve already been working with tools like Runway, ElevenLabs, Suno and now we’re leaning into Firefly and Adobe’s ecosystem, because speed is important but professional grade results are essential.

Hoping to attract more enterprise teams to its ecosystem, Adobe launched a new model customization service called Adobe AI Foundry, which would create bespoke versions of its flagship AI model, Firefly.
Adobe AI Foundry will work with enterprise customers to rearchitect and retrain Firefly models specific to the client. AI Foundry version models are different from custom Firefly models in that Foundry models understand multiple concepts compared to custom models with only a single concept. These models will also be multimodal, offering a wider use case than custom Firefly models, which can only ingest and respond with images.

Adobe MAX 2025 wasn’t just about AI’s capabilities – it was about redefining creativity.
With GenStudio leading the charge, Adobe is shaping a future where AI isn’t a tool, but a true creative partner.
From smart assistants that edit on command to platforms that scale ideas into impact, Adobe is building the next-gen creative operating system. Here’s the vision in action!

The sneaks from Adobe were surprising, innovative and inspiring. Yet they also made my “spidey sense” tingle.
It’s difficult to separate the benefits of AI as a tool from AI as a weapon, when things are scaling and evolving at a rapid pace. The average response from the Adobe product engineers when asked the question “how long have you been working on this feature?” was “ about 6 months.”
To a non-product developer (like myself) 6 months seems ASTONISHING, especially based on the sophistication of what was showcased at #AdobeSneaks.
Much like our trusty tool the exacto 🔪, this dual use technology will all depend on how responsibly we choose to wield it.
The main difference being that the exacto doesn’t also have an AI agent to work with 😉. Stay tuned and see what makes it to market in the coming months.

Adobe launched new AI assistants across Creative Cloud, introducing a prompt-driven "assistant mode" in Adobe Express that lets users create images and designs from text and then switch back to the traditional editor for fine-tuned control. This mode targets students and professionals who prefer a seamless, two-mode workflow.
Photoshop’s new assistant is in closed beta and lives in the sidebar — it’s layer-aware, can auto-select objects, create masks, and automate repetitive tasks like background removal or color changes to speed up complex edits.
Adobe is experimenting with cross-tool assistants that can coordinate across different Adobe apps and potentially link to creators’ social channels to learn individual styles; these capabilities are in early private/closed beta.
Creative Cloud gains support for third-party generative models (e.g., Google Gemini 2.5 flash, Black Forest Labs’ FLUX.1 Kontext) for generative fill, and Premiere Pro adds an AI-powered object mask to speed video object selection and color work.

For real Adobe?? 🤯 Unlimited Video and Image Generations for Creative Cloud Subscribers!
Quick MAX highlight worth sharing: Adobe announced unlimited Firefly generations—both images (Firefly + partner models) and video—for all Creative Cloud subscribers now through December 1.
Why this matters:
• Zero token anxiety → rapid prototyping and style exploration.
• Perfect window to build look libraries, train your team on prompts, and stress-test AI steps in your pipeline.
• Great for A/B testing: iterate prompts, aspect ratios, motion styles, and brand-safe looks at scale.
How to make the most of it:
• Block a short “exploration sprint” with your team.
• Save successful prompts + outputs into a shared style guide.
• Compare outputs across models to define when to use which.
Curious what you’ll experiment with first—image sets, motion concepts, or full campaign tests?
