This is spot-on. In the data center world, 99.999% uptime isn't just a goal; it's a fundamental necessity for modern business operations. We often talk about cooling and connectivity, but the foundation of true resilience is uninterrupted power. Why this matters now more than ever: Growing Demand: As AI, cloud services, and IoT usage surge, the power draw—and thus the risk from a power failure—increases exponentially. The Cost of Downtime: The financial and reputational damage from even a short outage can be catastrophic. Focus on the Core: Having dependable UPS systems and backup generators means the DC ops team can focus on innovation, not power panic. Reliable, turnkey power solutions aren't a luxury; they are a critical insurance policy for your entire digital infrastructure. What's the single most important metric your team tracks to ensure power reliability? Share your thoughts below! 👇 #datacenter #power #backuppower #powersolution #poweroutage #datacenteropps #uptime #resilience

⚡️Data Center Facility series: UPS redundancy⚡️ Following up on the previous post and before we post about UPS topology mapped to each Tier, today we will learn about common UPS redundancy topologies (i.e. what the letters mean): N = capacity required to support the load. N+1 = capacity N plus one extra module (one module can fail or be taken offline). N+2, N+x = extra modules for more margin. 2N = two independent, full capacity systems (mirror systems). If one full set fails, the other carries the entire load. 2(N+1) (sometimes written 2N+1) = two fully independent systems each with N+1 redundancy (highest commercial redundancy). Next time we'll map them to each Tier:) Stay around and stay curious! #DataCenter #DCF #UPS #Redundancy

Right-sizing UPS capacity isn’t just a design decision; it impacts TCO, energy use, and uptime. Many facilities are still oversized by 20–30%, driving avoidable costs and power losses. Our latest UPS selection guide breaks down real-world sizing strategies, redundancy models, and efficiency tiers, helping operators choose systems that scale without overbuilding. With solutions like Keor FLEX, which offer 98.4% efficiency and granular performance monitoring, we make precision planning practical and future-ready. Your data center's backup generators passed their monthly test. Great. But was it a 15-minute idle test, or a full load test under real conditions? I've heard too many horror stories of generators that start fine but fail under actual load during an outage. Fuel degradation. Cooling failures. Transfer switch issues. A quick startup test checks a box. It doesn't prove your redundancy actually works. Ask your colocation provider: 1 - When was the last FULL load test? 2 - How long did it run? 3 - Can I see the logs? Your uptime depends on it. #Colocation #DataCenters #DataCenter #DataCentre #DataCentres #Infrastructure #DisasterRecovery TRG Datacenters, Nicole Varela, Chris Hinkle, Mark Jobson
