AI can feel overwhelming. But what if you could turn that into an advantage? When Trish McGinty returned from maternity leave, she felt like the world had shifted overnight. Instead of stepping back, she leaned in and built systems that made AI practical for work, life, and career growth. Here’s what Trish covers: - Adopt a 15-minute daily AI learning habit - Use tools to reduce workload and mental load - Build personal branding that lasts in the AI era - Understand and close the gender gap in AI adoption Full session now live on YouTube: https://lnkd.in/gJ8V3svE #AIAdoption #FutureOfWork #AIProductivity #WomenInTech

Emma Jacobs explores whether #AI can liberate us from life's administrative drudgery, which disproportionately burdens women - up to 40% more than men. From booking birthdays to managing work schedules, AI assistants promise to automate tedious tasks, freeing mental space for creativity and leisure. Experts hail this as a game-changer, potentially reshaping households, workplaces, and even feminist goals, though challenges like algorithmic bias remain.

Does Ai Eliminate Workplace Ageism? I’m not referring to myself, albeit my age group’s is a reference point, I believe Ai could reduce bias by focusing on skills, not age, benefiting experienced older workers and tech-savvy younger ones. Yet, 90% of U.S. employers prefer younger candidates for AI roles. Biased Ai data can worsen ageism, favoring “energetic” (young) applicants. As Ageism Unmasked by Tracey Gendron notes, without inclusive Ai design, ageism persists. I implore you, the-power-that-be, to build #ethical_Ai for multigenerational teams! #Ageism #AIinWorkplace #FutureOfWork This is a good book on the subject: Gendron, T. (2022). Women aren’t just using AI for fun, they’re using it to shoulder the unpaid work no one else counts. While “73% of all chats are not work-related”, I suspect they are related to unpaid domestic and care work, not hobbies or personal interests. ‘Give me a quick recipe using these 5 ingredients’ (domestic work) ‘Can I use polysporin on my toddler’s cut’? (care work) ‘Re-write this email to daycare to sound more friendly’ (emotional work) AI may be quietly lightening the invisible labour women carry. Yet, this only underscores how much of that work still goes unseen, and how deeply it deserves recognition.

AI is changing the workplace, but it can’t replace the human skills that are most in demand. According to employers, the “power skills” of the future are: ✳️ Critical thinking & problem-solving ✳️ Communication ✳️ Empathy & judgment ✳️ Leadership across differences And those are the very skills older workers bring in abundance. As companies adopt AI, the need for experienced talent isn’t shrinking — it’s growing. As #AgeismAwarenessDay approaches (Thursday, October 9), it’s time to #FlipTheScript on our understanding of the advantage that comes with age and experience. What “power skills” have you seen older colleagues bring to your team? #AgeAdvantage #TalkAboutAgeism #ExperienceMatters #TheEncoreNetwork Maggie Riad Kindred Murillo Helen Hirsh Spence Victor Ortiz Andy Oden, APR Barb Richardson Rimas Jasin Amy Avergun Cheryl Gelzer Alexis Paula Getz Carolynne Mahood Laurie Petersen Janine Vanderburg Mona Mourshed Ramona Schindelheim Richard Eisenberg Maureen Wiley Clough Kim Anderson, NDCCDE, CDR Mary J Cronin Joyce Cohen Jim Westcott

Consumer adoption comes first. Enterprise adoption comes late. AI is no exception. Employees already use it at home, and are asking why they can’t at work. We’ve seen this before: - Video (2010s) - Mobile (2000s) - Internet (1990s) - PCs (1980s) Every time, leaders said they were “preparing.” Every time, the wave crashed anyway. Pew’s latest study shows the tipping point is here now: https://lnkd.in/gEvvR5Su So...what happens when AI hits workflows that only run because we humans massage the data and bridge the system gaps? Do we finally get transformation? Or chaos at scale? What do you see coming, opportunity or wreckage? Share your take and tag someone who should weigh in. #AITransformation #FutureOfWork #EnterpriseAI

I recently saw research showing parents trust AI for shopping advice but hesitate when it comes to health decisions. The gap was significant. The data showed a clear pattern in how parents think about AI in childcare—they're open to efficiency tools but protective of high-stakes decisions. What struck me wasn't whether parents use AI, but where they draw the line. They'll use it to research products and meal ideas, but when health or emotional well-being is involved, they want human judgment in control. This maps to AI features I'm ideating on: users adopt fastest when AI augments their work, but resist when it replaces their decision-making authority. The boundary isn't about capability—it's about stakes. Where have you seen users embrace AI as a tool but resist it as a decision-maker?

Attachment Styles and AI Companions View My Portfolio. AI companions are becoming more common, with chatbots and virtual partners increasingly used for emotional and relational support. Early research suggests that attachment styles—the patterns we develop in close relationships—may shape how people engage with these technologies. User profiles: A 2022 survey of 1,200 chatbot users found that individuals with anxious attachment were more likely to use AI companions daily, while those with avoidant attachment preferred short, transactional interactions (Computers in Human Behavior). Emotional outcomes: Studies indicate that consistent engagement with AI companions can reduce short-term loneliness by 18–22%, but may also reinforce dependence for some users (Journal of Social and Personal Relationships, 2021). Generational adoption: In the U.S., 19% of Gen Z report experimenting with AI for companionship, compared to just 4% of Baby Boomers (YouGov, 2023). Ethical questions: Researchers highlight the need to address how reliance on AI for connection may reshape expectations in human-to-human relationships. The findings suggest that the way people connect with AI mirrors established human attachment patterns, making psychology an essential lens for understanding this emerging trend. At V For Vibes, we believe this work is central to framing responsible innovation in sexual wellness—where emotional health, ethics, and technology intersect. #AI #AttachmentStyles #SexualWellness #HumanConnection #DigitalWellness #FutureOfHealth #VForVibes
