Today we turn 105 years old.   Since our humble beginnings in outback Queensland, where our founders and a single aircraft took a leap of faith, our story is defined by a pioneering spirit that’s helped connect millions of Australians to each other and the world.   As we prepare for Project Sunrise and the next frontier of ultra long-haul travel, that same spirit is carrying us forward today.   Here’s to 105 years of innovation and connection. To the people who’ve carried us this far, and to the adventures still ahead.

Not many people know this, but I was one of the children who performed “I Still Call Australia Home” in the now-iconic Qantas commericals. It remains one of the great honours of my childhood — and a moment that shaped my relationship with music, belonging, and identity. The legacy runs deep. The National Boys Choir was founded by my father- Kevin Casey in 1964, with my brother, Peter Casey, taking up the mantle in 1986. Together, they’ve carried forward a tradition that has influenced generations of young Australian performers. As Qantas marks 105 years, I’m proud to reflect on my family’s contribution to Australian music and to an enduring piece of our national story. Here’s to creating possibilities — yesterday, today, and always.

Happy 105th birthday Qantas !! My Dad, ( John) who is the son of co-founder Hudson Fysh, turns 100 this month. Still living at home with my mum. He’s still “with it” Amazing. Dad was born in Longreach and his 1st job was to sweep out the old Qantas hanger floor. Hudson Fysh was with Qantas for 46 years as Founder, GM, Managing Director and finally Chairman. Dad only managed 36 years with Qantas 😃😃 Can’t wait for Project Sunrise. Non stop Sydney to London!! Bring it on. My grandfather would have been be so proud.

Happy Birthday Qantas - the Spirit of Australians and Australia Intrepid founders at the beginning of commercial flight. Brave aviators who served Australia during wars. Extraordinary people who opened the door and gave Australians the freedom to safely explore the world. Every one of you, over those 105 years, deserve our highest respect and thanks.

Congratulations Qantas. With over 700 flights taken & almost 20 years service with Qantas Engineering, really want to recognise the amazing people I’ve met, worked with and those that have provided a wonderful service over the years. Now a customer that travels a couple of times a week, I’d like to acknowledge the thousands of team members that make it all happen every day, including the QantasLink, Jetstar Airways and Network Aviation teams. One special shout out to the Swissport team at Sunshine Coast Airport, they do a great job, running from aircraft to aircraft and between uniform changes! Look forward to seeing some of them again today on QF921! 😍

Happy 105th Birthday🎂, Qantas🇦🇺. Qantas was my first ever airplane✈️ experience when I flew to Australia as a child 25 years ago in December 2000. I still remember my childhood memories of Qantas when the Captain👨✈️ greeted me when we landed in Sydney, while holding my Wallace & Gromit Qantas children’s gift bag, which Qantas distributed in 2000. Kind regards, Kerwin

Was proud to serve 35 years in this iconic company - still love the flying kangaroo through all of her ups and downs !

And, as we celebrate Qantas, let's not forget the role of Trans Australian Airlines (TAA) in building the Qantas domestic network before Qantas. My Dad gave his working life to building TAA and I am so proud of his contribution to the Qantas journey!
