We’re excited to announce Elenium Automation has been selected to deliver Australian-designed and manufactured self-service technology as part of our recently announced terminal redevelopment. 📢 Terminal Transformation Takes Flight at Sunshine Coast Airport 📢 Today, Sunshine Coast Airport is proud to announce the appointment of construction company McNab as the builder of our highly anticipated domestic Terminal Redevelopment Project, with global architecture firm Populous leading the design. Sunshine Coast Airport CEO Chris Mills said the appointment of McNab and Populous reflected the airport’s commitment to working with respected partners to deliver world-class outcomes for the region. Planned Performance are the Project Managers and their proven expertise in Australian airport terminal expansions has been vital in guiding this project. The Terminal Redevelopment Project is being delivered in stages to minimise passenger disruption and keep operations running smoothly. Stage one is underway, with a new baggage handling facility due in early 2026 and full domestic terminal expansion by 2027. This is a major milestone in our journey as one of Australia’s fastest-growing airports. By 2030, Sunshine Coast Airport is forecast to welcome 2.4 million passengers annually. The Gateway Precinct includes a redeveloped terminal providing a welcoming arrival and departure experience, an airport hotel and other development opportunities supported by an active transport network.
