That’s a wrap on another nabtrade Charity Trading Day! Thank you to everyone who made a trade in support. The event raised $467,000 for the Odonata Foundation and $58,000 for the ASX’s Refinitiv Foundation. Odonata Foundation Chief Operating Officer Matt Singleton said the money raised would help to save native species and build biodiversity. “The generous donation will be invested into our 500-in-5 Species Recovery Model, which aims to build threatened species populations back up to at least 500 animals, dispersed across five or more safe havens and wild sites. This approach creates insurance populations of endangered species and promotes stronger genetics, a key to their long-term survival.” “NAB’s support, from both nabtrade and the NAB Foundation, is not just a donation, it’s a direct investment in the survival of some of our country’s most vulnerable species and ecosystems, including the eastern quoll, southern brush-tailed rock-wallaby and eastern barred bandicoot,” said Mr Singleton. We are still pinching ourselves at the incredible result, thank you. As we say at Odonata, 'hope is the doing' and this is going to enable a whole lot of doing! Thank you again to all at NAB for the huge amount of work that went into making this day a success 💚
Thanks so much NAB, NAB Foundation and JB Were for your recognition and support - it is this kind of investment that truly shifts the dial on threatened species recovery in Australia.
