Katalyst Foundation distributes clean water kits in Fiji with Kookai's support

The capital of Ethiopia, Addis Ababa, is a critical link in the country’s coffee supply chain and a major hub for coffee exchange and exportation. Over the past decade, Addis Ababa has experienced rapid population growth and as a result there are roughly 100,000 children in Addis Ababa who live on the street. The water the children have access to is often contaminated, causing diseases. This is the second leading cause of death in Ethiopia. Project Waterfall partnered with Splash International, who provide lifesaving water, hygiene and sanitation to schools and orphanages in Addis Ababa. This project brought clean drinking water to the Kibebe Tsehay Orphanage, giving children access to safe, clean water. Good food goes to waste while people in our community go hungry. Food insecurity in New Zealand is getting worse, even as global hunger rates improve. In Aotearoa, one in four children live in households where food runs out. Every day, thousands of Kiwi kids go to school hungry. Wright Communications is proud to support KiwiHarvest, a not-for-profit that rescues and redistributes food to those in need. In the year ending March 2025, KiwiHarvest collected and delivered more than 3 million kgs of food, a 14% increase on 2024. Each kilogram of food rescued fills empty shelves and stomachs, reduces carbon emissions, supports frontline charities, and strengthens communities. By collecting edible food that would otherwise be wasted, KiwiHarvest aims to reduce the environmental impact of food waste and provide nutritional support to communities. #KiwiHarvest #foodinsecurity

Operating in 56 countries, Action Against Hunger reached 26.5 million people in 2024 alone. The initiative, focusing on education, creativity and community engagement, aims to empower families with the tools and skills to prepare nutritious meals. Tim Wright, Global President of Home & Personal Care at Spectrum Brands, Inc, said: “Together, we want to drive real change... to make healthy, cost-effective meals for years to come.” Jean-Michel Grand, Executive Director at Action Against Hunger UK, added: “With conflicts rising and aid budgets shrinking, more children than ever are facing crisis levels of hunger.” The partnership runs until April 2028. When the floods hit Pakistan this year, Nestlé employees rallied to make a difference. Through the company’s volunteer program, Nestlé Cares, employees donated funds which Nestlé matched 1:1, resulting in 63,000 liters of NESTLÉ PURE LIFE being handed over to the Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS). This donation builds on earlier efforts where Nestlé Pakistan mobilized 300,000 liters of clean drinking water and 200,000 glasses of milk in collaboration with NDMA and provincial disaster management authorities.

In line with its commitment to supporting communities during crises, Nestlé Pakistan has donated 63,000 liters of NESTLÉ PURE LIFE to the Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS) for flood relief efforts. The contribution was made possible under the Nestlé Cares employee volunteer program, where staff donations were matched 1:1 by the company.
