Steel is going up at our brand-new Moorebank 100,000 sqm Omnichannel Fulfilment Centre in Moorebank, NSW (cc Moorebank Intermodal Precinct ESR Group). Richard Crookes Constructions has begun installing the first of 1,500 tonnes of locally made steel beams, with 50% of the steel delivered to site, and with fabrication reaching 100% completion. Once complete, our Omnichannel Fulfilment Centre will transform the way we serve our customers across Australia, leveraging leading-edge logistics technology in the heart of Sydney’s freight network. By modernising our fulfilment capabilities, we’re increasing speed, efficiency and flexibility across our network – so that we can keep delivering everyday joy to our millions of Australian customers each week.
Drove past the site yesterday, progress is looking great and the scale is impressive!
Aleks Spaseska this is an awesome step towards an improvement in the performance of the fulfilment of online / in store deliveries not available for direct / click and collect sale. Hopefully, in tandem with this Kmart is also looking at enhancing the customer support (online and phone) provided by the offshored customer service arrangements. Issues associated with delivery fulfilment and delivery are not consistent with there information provided at the time of product selection, different information in the point of sale . checkout and different again from the delivery partner. Yep we all love Kart and it's product range but that's not where the experience ends.....
Amazing
This is a massive and strategic investment in the future of Australian retail. Positioning a 100,000 sqm omnichannel facility at the heart of the Moorebank Intermodal Precinct is a masterstroke. It's not just about a new building; it's about fundamentally upgrading the entire supply chain network for speed, efficiency, and resilience. Congratulations on reaching this key construction milestone. The impact on customer experience will be transformative.
