Interview mistakes that still cost people the job. Even the strongest candidates trip up when they overlook the basics. It might come down to this. 👇 ❌ Not researching the company ❌ Not reading the job description ❌ Generic or vague answers that don't answer the question ❌ Arriving too late/ too early (aim to arrive 5-10minutes early) ❌ Not asking any questions ❌ Rambling or going off-topic Nothing groundbreaking - just things that still matter. A lot. What would you add? #Recruitment #InterviewTips #JobSearch #Careers #Hiring #LondonJobs

I came across this email shared by a candidate who turned down a job offer after the interview stage. And honestly? I love the courage behind it. This is a reminder that interviews are a two-way street. Candidates are also evaluating companies, which includes their culture, their professionalism, and how they treat people. As a job seeker, don’t be afraid to walk away from a role if it doesn’t align with your values. A toxic culture wrapped in a fancy job title is still a trap. As recruiters and hiring managers, remember: First impressions aren’t just for candidates, they’re for companies too. Career growth is not just about finding a job; it’s about finding the right environment. Would you stay in such a process, or walk away like this candidate did? #CareerTips #Recruitment #JobSeekers #interviewchallenge #interviewtips #cvwriting #ghen2tletouch

🤝 A Small Request to Interviewers & Recruiters I’ve attended several interviews recently — each one a new hope, a new opportunity to prove myself. But what’s truly disheartening is the silence that follows. No updates. No clarity. No feedback. Just waiting… and wondering if I made it to the next round or not. I completely understand — recruiters handle dozens of profiles every day, and shortlisting isn’t easy. But as candidates, we invest time, preparation, travel, and genuine effort into every interview. Even a simple message like: > “We’ve decided to move forward with other candidates this time,” means a lot. It gives us closure and helps us learn and improve for the next opportunity. So to all HRs and recruiters out there — a humble request 🙏 Please keep candidates informed, even if the answer is “no.” Your few words can save someone from days of uncertainty. To my fellow job seekers — don’t lose hope. Every interview is a step forward, even if it doesn’t end with an offer. Keep growing, keep learning, and your “yes” will come soon. 🌟 #JobSearch #DubaiJobs #InterviewExperience #CareerGrowth #Respect #Recruitment #HR #CommunicationMatters #JobSeekers

“My first recruitment job was brutal, but it built me.” My first recruitment job was old-school. Daily KPIs looked like this: 80 outbound calls📞 2 hours talk time minimum⏰ 2 candidate interviews booked✅ 2 client interviews booked✅ Every. Single. F****N Day. And trust me, if you didnt hit, you were definitely having a chat the next morning with your manager. But that environment taught me more about resilience than any training session ever could. You had to pick up the phone when you’d been rejected all morning. You had to keep chasing when you’d already been hung up on five times. You had to stay confident when your target felt a million miles away. Looking back, it was brutal… but it built the foundation. Because now, when things go quiet or deals fall through, it doesn’t rattle me the same way. These days, the market has changed. That approach would not work and even if it did, there is no chance I could do that… maybe im too old!! Ultimately what this taught me was Effort = Reward. 👊 Recruitment will test you But if you can keep pushing, the rewards will always follow.

Everyone thinks being a recruiter is all about calling candidates and scheduling interviews. But the truth? It’s a perfect mix of detective work, psychology, and patience! Here’s what a typical day looks like 👇 Morning: Start the day with 100+ unread emails, 10 resumes that look “interesting,” and 3 hiring managers asking for updates — all before your first cup of coffee. Midday: Telephonic screenings begin! Some candidates speak confidently, some forget which role they applied for, some forget the company name, and some… vanish mid-call. And the funniest? I don’t remember which company this is, but yes, I am excited. Yet, one great conversation can still make your day. 💻 Afternoon: Coordination time Scheduling interviews, updating trackers, following up with managers, reminding candidates about interview timings because someone always forgets and occasionally playing detective: Wait, which profile was for Tech Lead again. Evening: The day ends with either: “Congratulations, you’re selected" or “We’ll need more profiles.” Through it all, the recruiter’s mission stays the same — connecting people with the right opportunities. It’s not just a job. It’s people management, empathy, and endless multitasking — wrapped into one role. #Sneharaj #RecruiterLife #TelephonicInterview #HiringJourney #CareerGrowth #RecruitmentStories #WorkLife

Landing a job often feels like it hinges on interview skills or a stellar resume. However, genuine curiosity about the company and how your skills can contribute might be the most valuable asset. Demonstrating a keen interest in their mission and operations can leave a lasting impression, showcasing a proactive mindset that employers value. Asking thoughtful questions during the interview process, even if satisfied with the initial answers, demonstrates continued engagement and a desire to understand the company's vision. 4moIt's not always about perfect answers; so often it's about presence, clarity, and intent. If you are asked to demonstrate a skill or experience you don't have, it makes a better first impression to show self-awareness and a willingness to learn, rather than scrambling for an example that isn't well aligned.
