After taking 2000+ candidate interviews so far, one thing is clear… When companies ask us to conduct interviews on their behalf, we never judge candidates on: ❌ Career gaps ❌ Background noise ❌ Whether they joined late in interview Because none of these define a person’s true potential. What we genuinely look for is: ✅ Presence of mind ✅ Adaptability ✅ Ownership & responsibility ✅ Real project experience (even small ones matter) Technical skills can always be learned — but the mindset to take responsibility, finish tasks before time, stay consistent, and learn continuously… that’s what truly makes someone job-ready. And this is exactly the philosophy we follow at Common jobs while helping candidates get better opportunities. #Hiring #Interviews #FreshersJobs #CareerGrowth #JobReady #SkillDevelopment #CommonJobs #MindsetMatters #CareerJourney #Recruitment #Opportunities #LearningMindset

Question- how many interviews are too many interviews? As a recruitment firm we've experienced candidates in one-stage processes lack genuine buy-in and decide to go with the business they spent longer getting to know. We've also seen candidates walk away excited that things moved quickly so maybe it's down to personal context? Meanwhile, candidates navigating comprehensive interview journeys often develop deeper connections through meeting potential colleagues and truly grasping company dynamics. But...we've also seen candidates burnt out from longer processes and going with the quicker option. One thing we can guarantee if you are an employer is that you are increasing the risk of losing your pipeline and extending your time to hire with 3+ interviews. As an agency we're interested in the job seekers opinions. When looking for a new role, what's the sweet spot when it comes to the number of interview steps? How many interviews are too many? #hiring #recruitment #ukjobs

✨ 3 things candidates do that really STAND OUT to me as a #recruiter: ✨ 1️⃣ Speak positively about their previous roles and employers - it shows professionalism and maturity (even if the experience was not amazing). 2️⃣ Share specific goals they’ve set (and the actionable steps they took to achieve them). This demonstrates accountability and drive. 3️⃣ Elaborate on their answers! Don’t just give one-word responses! Thoughtful detail helps me truly understand your experience and mindset. What’s something you notice that makes a candidate stand out in an interview? 👇 #HiringTips #JobSearch #TipsFromARecruiter #JobSeekerTips #MarketingJobs #SalesJobs

Dear Recruiters, I’ve applied to many roles, yet most times, there’s no response. Even a brief note or reason for rejection can help candidates reflect, learn, and grow. Not everyone performs their best in interviews, but many truly shine in real work. A 20/30 minute interview shouldn’t define someone’s potential. Please consider giving opportunities to those who may struggle to express themselves in interviews, but consistently prove their value through dedication, results, and hard work. True talent is measured by performance, not just interview skills. #FairHiring #Transparency #RespectFor #JobSeekers #legalassistant #RecruitmentEthic #JobSearchparalegal

Dear Recruiters, I have applied to many companies, but unfortunately, I haven't received responses from most hiring teams. At the very least, sharing a reason for rejection would help candidates learn and improve. Not everyone performs their best in interviews. But many shine in real work. Skills, dedication, and hard work often go far beyond what can be shown in a single conversation. A 30 Minute interview should not define a candidate's entire potential. Please consider giving opportunities to those who may: Struggle to express themselves in interviews, But can consistently prove their worth through actions and results. Not every talent can be judged by a resume or an interview. Sometimes, people with great skills and knowledge may struggle to express themselves on paper or during an interview — but that doesn’t mean they lack potential. Of course, resumes and interviews are part of every hiring process, but beyond that, I believe in giving individuals a fair chance to prove what they’re capable of. Because sometimes, real talent just needs an opportunity to shine. 🌟 I’ve seen that everyone deserves that one chance to prove themselves — and I truly believe potential speaks louder than words. 💫 #Hiring #CareerGrowth #Opportunity #Recruitment #Motivation #HumanResources #JobSearch #ProfessionalGrowth
