I was listening to a podcast earlier this week and the host said a line that has stuck with me. “The conversation is no longer about getting a seat at the table, but about what you do when you are there.” And really…It is not about sitting at the table, It is about shaping what is on it. The real work happens when we turn conversations into action, when we stop talking about culture and start designing for it. It shows up in how we use data to understand people trends, how we build structures that make decisions faster, and how we help leaders see the people story behind the numbers. But it is not just about data or business cases. It is also about influence. It is how we help other business leaders see blind spots, connect short term goals to long term culture, and ask the questions that move things forward. It is not a title. It is a mindset. It shows up in how we think, how we listen, and how we make decisions that strengthen both people and performance. That is where Strategic HR proves its value; in how we help the business think, plan, and grow. #OnTheMoveWithGrowth #StrategicHR #PeopleAndCulture #HRLeadership #FutureOfWork

One of the biggest trends I've seen since late 2023-ish is that organisations started investing more into L&D, and internal career paths. In our latest episode I had a great chat with Chris about how building talent can be the way forward towards closing skills gaps, not just in specific orgs, but in the country as a whole. Christopher Blackburn is an absolute expert in his field so this is worth a watch!
