The digital divide isn't just about internet access. It's about who gets quality healthcare. When healthtech solutions only reach certain communities, we create two-tiered healthcare: • Rural patients missing telehealth options • Low-income families without health apps • Seniors struggling with digital portals • Communities lacking health data access This isn't just inconvenient—it's dangerous. Technology should bridge gaps, not widen them. What's one solution you've seen work in underserved communities? Listen to our podcast for more on equitable healthtech. #HealthEquity #DigitalDivide #HealthTech #HealthcareAccess #SocialDeterminants #HealthInnovation #PublicHealth

What you value in your healthcare system and health policy affects how your digital health is used and how well. Night before Frontiers Health and I ran across an article predicting that the EU telehealth market will be growing over the next 8 years (so telehealth is still not dead, everyone). Key Stats: ▫️ Europe's telehealth market valued at $5.7B in 2024, projected to reach $23.4B by 2033 ▫️ 17.1% CAGR growth driven by systemic healthcare priorities, not profit maximization ▫️ Over 247 million people aged 60+ expected by 2030 in Europe The biggest drivers are Germany, France, Italy, Spain and the UK and are focused on using telehealth for: ▪️ Aging populations ▪️ Chronic disease management ▪️ Unequal healthcare access in rural regions These challenges aren't unique to the EU and the UK as they exist everywhere BUT Europe is prioritizing telehealth for systemic healthcare problems rather than advertising and selling medications. There's also strong government support including the European Health Data Space, reimbursement programs, and AI innovation investments (€67.5M from EU alone). I'd like to see more of this. We are fast losing the trust of clinicians who often see digital health as solving problems they don't have. The rise of for-profit services that use telehealth is not helping. I don't know any doctors who don't recognize the above three problems as being highly relevant and would likely be more open to digital tools if they saw its benefit to things they actually see as problems in the health system. This is what telehealth should be for and a counter to what's happening in the US healthcare system. We could have done the same. We still can, but there has to be a shift in our priorities. #telehealth #telemedicine #healthequity #eu #digitalhealth

Tech alone won't fix healthcare. 🩺 What happens when you over-index on tech as the whole solution? You end up with a healthcare system that is transaction-oriented, fragmented, and built in siloes. That’s actually HOW WE GOT HERE! We need to reorient the future to put humans at the center. Whether it's the patient navigating a complex journey, the clinician juggling countless tasks, or the researcher seeking breakthroughs—we must prioritize the human experience. When we design for the person, technology becomes what it was always meant to be: a force for good that truly improves health and well-being. #Healthcare #Healthtech #HealthcareInnovation #TechForGood #PatientExperience #FutureOfHealth

Latinos will make up nearly 80% of new workers this decade, but cultural stigmas and lack of Spanish-speaking clinicians lead to underused benefits. Solving the access gap with culturally competent care is the strongest retention strategy for essential industries.
For many bilingual and blue-collar employees, traditional telehealth misses the mark. Real results come when care is built on connection, culture, and trust. MiSalud Health has created a telehealth model that’s personal, relevant, and effective, achieving 90% participation in health screenings, 45% in telehealth programs, and measurable outcomes like diabetes reversal and weight loss. Join this webinar to learn: 🔹How digital on-site care builds trust and breaks down technology barriers 🔹Creative ways AI supports adherence to “doctor’s orders” 🔹Insights from five years of culturally rooted health engagement Discover how telehealth, built on understanding, can deliver lasting change. The Future of Telehealth Isn’t Optional — It’s Inevitable! Even amid reimbursement uncertainty, health systems across the country are proving that telehealth isn’t a pandemic artifact, it’s infrastructure. Last week’s Modern Healthcare article highlights how leading systems like MUSC, UCSD Health, and Esperanza Health are reshaping virtual care: MUSC Health built Ovatient to ensure continuity, not “one-and-done” visits. UCSD Health showed real outcomes, lowering readmission rates by 25% through virtual follow-up clinics. Esperanza Health continues to deliver behavioral health care via telemedicine to underserved communities, bridging the digital divide. [Warning: Subscription Required] https://lnkd.in/gckG6pex These stories all point to one truth: virtual care endures when it’s integrated. At Array Behavioral Care, we see that every day, embedded inside hospitals, EDs, and health systems where behavioral health demand is rising fastest. Our model lives inside clinical workflows (on or off Epic), and our data-driven Care Pathways ensure patients receive the right care, at the right time, at the right dose(TM). The reimbursement environment will keep shifting, but the direction of care won’t. Let’s make virtual behavioral health a connected, continuous part of the system, not an add-on to it. #BehavioralHealth #Telehealth #VirtualCare #IntegratedCare #HealthSystems #Innovation #AccessToCare #ArrayBehavioralCare

Good News! Primary Care is becoming healthcare's new strategic battleground. Providers are now discovering that it's the cornerstone of value-based care. And AI is accelerating this transformation: E-prescribing adoption: 27% → 55% Appointment scheduling: 33% → 63% Telehealth platforms: 38% → 63% Patients are clear about their preferences: 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝘄𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗔𝗜 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝘂𝗴𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁, 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲. 60% are comfortable with AI taking notes. If digital health is the answer, why does it still leave so many people behind? A few years ago, I walked into a rural clinic where patient records were still handwritten in fading notebooks. No EHRs. No digital tools. Just dedication — and struggle. We talk endlessly about AI, telemedicine, and data-driven care… But for millions, those are distant luxuries — not daily realities. 💡 Here’s the truth most people miss: - Technology doesn’t make healthcare equitable by default. - Without digital equity, even the smartest tools can deepen inequality. As a healthtech founder building Medicore, I’ve learned that the future of care depends on one simple idea: - Innovation without access isn’t progress — it’s exclusion with better UX. So what does digital equity really mean? - Designing tools that work in low-connectivity environments - Empowering healthcare workers in under-resourced regions - Building inclusive data sets that represent diverse populations - Teaching digital literacy, not just delivering technology Because what good is AI if it can’t reach the nurse without broadband? Or telemedicine if the patient can’t afford data? At Medicore, we’re not just building for hospitals , we’re building for humanity. For every community where healthcare deserves to be both intelligent and inclusive. Let’s create a world where digital health doesn’t just connect , it includes. 💬 What does digital fairness look like to you? #HealthTech #DigitalEquity #HealthcareInnovation #Inclusion #PublicHealth #Medicore

As digital health continues to transform how we deliver and access care, misconceptions still cloud the conversation. Let’s set the record straight... Myth: Digital health is only for tech-savvy people. Fact: Digital health is designed to make care simpler and more accessible, not more complicated. From SMS reminders that help patients keep up with medication schedules to teleconsultation services that bring healthcare closer to rural and underserved communities, digital tools are built for everyone, not just those with smartphones or advanced digital skills. At PrimeSafePath Solutions Ltd, we believe digital inclusion is the foundation of better health outcomes. The true power of technology lies in how it simplifies, not complicates, care delivery. Join us every Friday as we debunk more digital health myths and share practical insights on how technology is transforming healthcare across Africa. #digitalhealth #healthinnovation #PrimeSafePath #healthtech #healthcaretransformation #inclusion
