🚨 Deepfake Media Scams Are on the Rise Since 2020, the FBI has received more than 4.2 million reports of fraud, resulting in over $50.5 billion in losses. With the rise of artificial intelligence, scammers are now using deepfakes — AI-generated or manipulated images, videos, and audio to impersonate friends, family members, or public figures in order to deceive victims. To protect yourself, watch for signs such as blurry or distorted facial features, unnatural blinking or speech, flat voice tones, or audio that’s out of sync with video. Always stop and think before responding to urgent or emotional requests, verify the legitimacy of people and messages using trusted sources, and consider setting up codewords with loved ones to confirm identities. Limit what you share online and never repost or forward media without verifying its authenticity. #FraudPrevention #DeepfakeAwareness #CyberSecurity #BankingSafety #SouthernBank

That panicked call from "your child" or "the police"? Yeah, it could be AI. 😳 Voice cloning is real, it's fast, and scammers are weaponizing it. They can mimic anyone from a few seconds of audio. Here's what I'm doing: ✅ Hanging up and calling back on verified numbers ✅ Creating a family code word ✅ Never acting on urgent money requests without double-checking The scams are getting sophisticated. Our defenses need to level up too. For more security tips like this, follow KnowBe4! #Cybersecurity #AIFraud #ScamAlert
