Cundall’s Post

Plot 9A is one such example of the future of commercial buildings - a high quality office space that is considerate of carbon. Now occupied by the Government Property Agency, this Grade A office space is in line with the UKGBC's net zero carbon framework and has achieved a 5.5* NABERS Design Reviewed Target Rating. Well done to the project team that made this a reality Ask Real Estate, Jon Matthews Architects Paul Kenyon David Everington

We are delighted our Manchester First Street hub has won the 2025 Building Magazine Project of the Year! The office space secured the accolade for its sustainability credentials after achieving a NABERS 5.5* rating, with the judges also noting the building’s appearance and quality. The project’s entry was submitted by Cundall which designed the building to our exacting standards. Launched as part of our Government Hubs Programme, the Manchester First Street Hub will accommodate around 2,700 civil servants from numerous government departments when it opens. Just a few minutes’ walk from Oxford Road and Deansgate rail stations, the workspace has been designed to be class-leading, meeting inclusive and accessible design standards. The design for the 12,000sqm building will also support a variety of different working styles including spaces to enable collaboration, creativity and community. #BuildingAwards #TransformingCivilService
