As September draws to a close, it’s great to look back on what’s been a busy and rewarding month for the business. We were pleased to see Al Maryah Tower recognised as Retrofit Project of the Year at the MEP Middle East Awards, a fantastic achievement for the team involved. Our fire engineering team grew with the appointment of Bernice Wong , and our structural offering in Australia expanded, bringing valuable experience and leadership across the company. We also took part in World Green Building Week 2025, with offices around the world hosting events focused on region-specific priorities under this year’s theme, Be Bold on Buildings.

As cities around the world evolve to meet the challenges of climate change, rapid urbanisation, and social transformation, the need for a comprehensive approach to resilience has never been greater. This forward-thinking approach aims to help urban planners and policymakers build cities that are not only sustainable, but also inclusive, adaptive, and future-ready.

A day in the life
Cundall in the press
This month, we’re featuring a piece from Property Week by Andrew Somerville who is shaking up how we think about science park design. He draws inspiration from Disneyland to explore how layout and experience can drive collaboration, creativity, and a stronger sense of community. It’s a fresh take that might just change how we imagine the future of innovation spaces.
Looking forward
