We’ve taken another step towards building a more flexible, reliable energy system. We’ve secured unconditional connection agreements for our large-scale battery at Mortlake with Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO). The agreement locks in connection to the energy grid through AusNet’s Mortlake Terminal Station and sets the path to full operation. The Mortlake battery, expected to be completed next year, will have a capacity of 300 MW and deliver up to 650 MWh of energy.

Georgia Power is building a new 200 MW battery energy storage system near Macon, Georgia, set to complete by 2027, to enhance grid reliability and support renewable energy integration. This system will store and dispatch energy during high demand periods, especially in winter. Construction is also underway on additional projects totaling 765 MW across Georgia, with over 3,000 MW of new battery storage and solar-plus-storage projects seeking approval. Georgia Power has started building a new 200 MW battery energy storage system near Macon, Georgia, to enhance grid reliability and support renewable energy integration. This project, approved by the Georgia Public Service Commission, will store energy for use during high demand periods, especially in winter.
