Turing, a Tokyo-based self-driving technology startup, has raised $99 million in a series A funding round, valuing the company at $388 million. Investors include DENSO, a major auto parts supplier for Toyota Motor Corporation, and the round features a $35.6 million syndicated loan. Founded in 2021 by AI developer issei yamamoto, Turing employs about 85 people and is developing an AI-based autonomous driving system. The company plans to launch its fully autonomous system in commercial vehicles by 2029 and is collaborating with NVIDIA on end-to-end autonomous driving.
