Add or edit a group cover image

A group cover image acts as a visual representation designed to reflect the identity and purpose of a team or community. It serves as the first impression of your group. Adding a cover image of your group is a best practice for completing your group information.

Important to know

Only group owners have the permission to add or edit the cover image. Group managers or members don’t have the access to edit the cover image.  

To add or edit a cover image:

  1. Click Groups from the left pane of your LinkedIn homepage. 

  2. Select the applicable group from Your groups list. 

  3. Click the  Edit icon below the cover image. 

  4. Click Open

  5. In the Edit cover photo window, you can: 

    • Edit cover image: Crop the photo, use photo filters, adjust, change the position and size, or rotate your cover image 
    • Change cover image: Click Change photo and follow prompts to change your cover image 
  6. Click Apply

Notes:

  • The recommended size for the cover image is 1776px x 444px.  

  • The image should be in JPEG or PNG format.
