Hiring is one of the most cruical parts of being a founder, especially when it comes to finding good engineering talent. India has some of the best engineers but inbound is often noisy because of the sheer volume of applicants. Over time, we realized that curated outbound and reaching out to the right people is the most effective way to find top talent. One approach that worked really well for us was partnering with Weekday (YC W21). They have built one of the largest databases of talent I have seen in India and helped us run targeted outbound campaigns that connected us with good quality engineers we wouldn’t have reached otherwise. We recently hired an engineer through them who matched our hiring bar and we’re continuing to work with them to expand our team.
