Meet Alex Wehner, the new Pharmacy Manager at SRMC. ❤️ Alex’s story with us started at UNM Hospital, where he cared for some of our tiniest and toughest patients in the NICU, PICU and pediatric units. He supported families through late nights, big emotions and plenty of hopeful moments. Now Alex is bringing that same heart and curiosity to SRMC. We are excited to welcome him. 🙌

Celeste Yazzie grew up in Dzilth-na-o-dith-hle — a small Navajo community east of Farmington near Bloomfield along Highway 550. It’s a place rooted in family, tradition and culture, and it shaped who she is today. Leaving home to attend UNM and become the first in her family to go to college was challenging, but with encouragement from those who supported her mother’s care, she took the leap. Celeste joined UNM Hospital in 2007 and spent 17 years caring for patients with compassion and cultural respect. Now at SRMC as an occupational health nurse, she helps employees stay healthy and supported in a welcoming environment. This Native American Heritage Month, we’re proud to honor Celeste’s journey and the strength she brings to our community.

Meet Emily — one of the bright lights on the 4th floor inpatient unit at SRMC! ❤️ A recent patient called her “an absolute riot and a breath of fresh air” who brought laughter, compassion, and just the right dose of purple-haired energy to the night shift. From keeping pain under control to simply making her patients smile, Emily shows what it means to care with both skill and heart.
