Fun Fact: Forest Park in St. Louis is about 500 acres larger than Central Park in New York. It's also a fact that Subsurface Constructors, Inc. has been very busy in and around Forest Park. We recently designed and installed micropiles and aggregate piers for the transformation of Steinberg Ice Rink, completed earth retention at the St. Louis Zoo, and are installing drilled shafts for a new 30-story residential tower overlooking Forest Park. #deepfoundations #groundimprovement #geotechnicalengineering

We are extremely excited to announce the addition of Olivia Drew as our new Gulf Region Business Development Manager. Olivia will be based in San Antonio, TX and has extensive experience in geotechnical consulting and business development. She will be a great resource for engineers and contractors in TX, LA, MS, and AL looking to learn more about aggregate pier and rigid inclusion ground improvement, and geotechnical contracting in general. We're happy to welcome our 2025 interns for this summer! Abbi Saul is studying Geological Engineering at Missouri University of Science and Technology, Kiran Dhakal is a Master's student studying Geotechnical Engineering at the Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, and Nikhil Morgan is studying Quantitative Economics at Indiana University Bloomington. Today, they recently helped perform a modulus test at a St. Louis-area aggregate pier project. Over the summer, our interns will help us with estimating, design assistance, running load tests, and even some business development. We're excited to have them on board!

We are excited to announce that two Subsurface Constructors employees recently completed the Southern Illinois University Edwardsville Construction Leadership Institute 2025 program. Nathan Hallsten and Gretta Boerding are PM/Estimators in our deep foundation and ground improvement divisions, respectively. Graduates of this prestigious program are the emerging leaders of the St. Louis-area architectural, engineering, and construction industry. We’re wrapping up a great week of geotech conferences with the Minnesota Geotechnical Society annual conference. The Subsurface stocking caps fly off the table when it’s 7 degrees outside. Also thanks to the ASCE Geo-Institute National Capital Chapter for hosting a great event this week. We’re happy to support these groups!
