Subsurface Constructors was happy to be well-represented at the ASCE St. Louis Section Structural and GeoConfluence as Chief Engineer Andrew Chapman gave a presentation on the design and installation of ground improvement to support large engineered fills. Also, Lyle Simonton served as the conference moderator and Subsurface supported the conference as an exhibitor. We’re at the 57th KU Geotechnical Conference exhibiting and sponsoring today. Hope to see you there. #geotechnicalengineering #groundimprovement #asce

Fun Fact: Forest Park in St. Louis is about 500 acres larger than Central Park in New York. It's also a fact that Subsurface Constructors, Inc. has been very busy in and around Forest Park. We recently designed and installed micropiles and aggregate piers for the transformation of Steinberg Ice Rink, completed earth retention at the St. Louis Zoo, and are installing drilled shafts for a new 30-story residential tower overlooking Forest Park. #deepfoundations #groundimprovement #geotechnicalengineering

Subsurface has been busy this summer with a variety of projects! Whether its drilled shafts in Minnesota, micropile in Missouri, rigid inclusions in Illinois, or aggregate piers in St. Louis, as a national leader in geotechnical contracting, Subsurface provides a range of geotechnical solutions across the country. Additionally, our interns are gaining hands-on experience with estimating, load testing, and ground improvement design. #deepfoundations #groundimprovement #geotechnicalengineering

We are extremely excited to announce the addition of Olivia Drew as our new Gulf Region Business Development Manager. Olivia will be based in San Antonio, TX and has extensive experience in geotechnical consulting and business development. She will be a great resource for engineers and contractors in TX, LA, MS, and AL looking to learn more about aggregate pier and rigid inclusion ground improvement, and geotechnical contracting in general. Welcome to the Subsurface team, Olivia!

We're happy to welcome our 2025 interns for this summer! Abbi Saul is studying Geological Engineering at Missouri University of Science and Technology, Kiran Dhakal is a Master's student studying Geotechnical Engineering at the Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, and Nikhil Morgan is studying Quantitative Economics at Indiana University Bloomington. Today, they recently helped perform a modulus test at a St. Louis-area aggregate pier project. Over the summer, our interns will help us with estimating, design assistance, running load tests, and even some business development. We're excited to have them on board!

We’re wrapping up a great week of geotech conferences with the Minnesota Geotechnical Society annual conference. The Subsurface stocking caps fly off the table when it’s 7 degrees outside. Also thanks to the ASCE Geo-Institute National Capital Chapter for hosting a great event this week. We’re happy to support these groups!

Subsurface Constructors, Inc. reposted this
It was a pleasure getting to work with Subsurface Constructors, Inc. and be a part of this local project. Great crew of guys on site! Looking forward to the next one!
Subsurface Constructors recently rented an ABI Mobilram TM 26 to install full displacement piles for several new attractions in downtown St. Louis. The project calls for the addition of a roller coaster and several other amusement park rides to join the existing Ferris wheel at St. Louis’ Union Station. The piling installation was performed in conjunction with Concrete Strategies. PARIC is the general contractor, and construction is expected to be completed later this year.

Want to travel to the mountains or the beach, cold weather or warm? Why not both and everything in between? Subsurface Constructors recently designed and installed aggregate pier ground improvement for an agricultural project in Utah and a mixed use project in Panama City Beach, FL. #groundimprovement #geotechnicalengineering
