A day in the lane ✨ Hi, I’m Yashwanth Chowdary, Customer Success Manager at Storylane, based in Bangalore. My job sits at the intersection of product, customers, and revenue, which basically means: I translate what the product was built to do into what customers are actually trying to do, and make those two meet in the middle… without dropping the revenue ball. My take on CS: Most CS teams are told to chase revenue and then wonder why customers don’t feel supported. I think it’s the opposite. Understand the product deeply, make customers successful and the revenue follows. Not immediately, but inevitably. CS is equal parts psychology, pattern recognition, and patience. If you do it right, customers don’t just renew, they root for you. How I got here: I’ve spent my whole career in customer-facing roles across sales, success, support, and a stint as a founder. Different titles, same theme: listen well, solve real problems, don’t dodge hard conversations. I spent 4.5 years at Wayground (formerly Quizizz) leading customer experience, and before that, ran an agri-tech startup with friends. Nothing teaches you faster than having your own company’s name on the cap table. Why Storylane? In all transparency: the founders. I’d followed Nalin Senthamil and Akash Bansal for a while now. Getting to ~$10M ARR without heavy external funding and still staying close to customers is rare. During interviews, it was obvious they still cared deeply about CS and Support. And it wasn’t just them, across functions, I met people who were sharp, high-ownership, and genuinely invested in the product. Fun bits about me: ➡️ Went skydiving in Miami, lost all the photos, only a YouTube video survived. ➡️ I treat gadget colour choices like a NASA launch checklist, then pick silver/black. ➡️ Life decisions? I just go ‘yeah, feels right’ and never revisit. If I give you my word, you have my word. Integrity over everything. Life mantra: Be wildly ambitious. Go after goals that feel slightly out of reach. But meet people with softness. The world rewards ambition, and remembers kindness.

Attribution is messy. But it doesn’t have to be dumb. In this episode of Game Changers, Madhav Bhandari (Head of Marketing at Storylane) breaks it down for Oana Manolache (CEO at Sequel.io) in three simple layers: ➡️ Quantitative: Traffic sources, UTM tags, referrers. Good for understanding where people come from, but it’s still surface-level. ➡️ Qualitative: A simple “How did you hear about us?” form. ➡️ Conversational: Going through discovery call recordings to hear prospects explain, in their own words, how they found you and why they cared. Your best demo might not be a live one. Chris Todd from CallTrackingMetrics learned that faster closes often start with self-guided demos, not Zoom calls. So they adopted Storylane’s interactive demos. The result? ✅ Days to close reduced by ~2 days ✅ Opportunity conversion rate rivaled their top organic channel ✅ Reps now ask for more demos Why Storylane? → Intuitive UI for marketers → Powerful HTML scraping to match their platform → Easy redaction of real customer data → Demos placed right below pricing tables, in sales emails, and as follow-ups Their marketing team now leads demo creation while reps focus on the real conversations. A day in the lane ✨ Hi! I’m Aman Pathak, Customer Success Manager at Storylane, based in India. My background: If I had to describe my career, I’d call it “unplanned but somehow perfect.” I started with food delivery, moved into an internship, taught students during COVID, ran an agency, worked on conferences, then shifted into SaaS. Across all of that, I’ve spent the last 4 years in customer-facing roles and somewhere in there I realised I really enjoy helping customers. Scenic route? Yes. Worth it? Also yes. My take: I see CS as strategic. It’s about thinking ahead, spotting value gaps early, and making customers successful. At Storylane, I own onboarding, guide customers in getting their demos live, and stay with them through every step in between. Why Storylane? Honestly product, people, culture - Storylane checked all the boxes for me. And after doing a proper deep dive, the direction and clarity were pretty obvious. There’s no fluff, just clear thinking and a team that actually cares. Hard to not want to be part of that 😄 Fun bits about me: ➡️ I’m an introvert in a job that requires talking every single day. Life is ironic. ➡️ I love cooking… but only for other people. Never for myself. Absolutely not. ➡️ I thought I was a dog person. Then I met a few cats. Now here we are. Favorite little mantra: The answer will always be no until you ask, so ask away.

Over the past few months, more customers have started running their live calls directly from Storylane. Why? Because live environments are unpredictable: → Latency, random logouts, flaky Wi-Fi → Surprise bugs or slow loads → Accidental PII exposure (compliance risk) → Inconsistent narratives across reps As a fix, we launched Presenter Mode so AEs/SEs can: ✅ Keep the buyer view clean: Hide guide text; beacons/backdrops still clickable. ✅ Keep guardrails private: Guide text + (HTML) presenter notes in an unshared tab. ✅ Stay stable & compliant: Run in Storylane’s controlled environment. ✅ Reuse one asset: Sandbox, guided, and live, so no version sprawl. ✅ Fit any setup: Dual-screen recommended; single-tab works too.
