Our CEO Josh Lospinoso joined Nasdaq TradeTalks to discuss one of the biggest challenges in national security. The platforms that defend our nation - aircraft, ships, ground vehicles - are built to last decades. But their onboard technology is incredibly difficult to upgrade once they're fielded. As Josh put it, they're "encased in amber." We're talking firmware written decades before Windows 95 - on assets still in operation today. That’s an exploitable gap, and it's exactly where Shift5 delivers Operational Intelligence. Full conversation: https://lnkd.in/eG3FDhd6

India's DGCA issued new guidance requiring pilots to report GPS interference within 10 minutes of detection. That's a positive step, but the approach needs some refinement. Pilots already manage hundreds of flight-critical tasks. Now they're being asked to manually detect spoofing, report it to ATC, notify their operator, and file paperwork, all while navigating through an active interference zone. That's not a sustainable solution. GPS attacks happen at machine speed. The response needs to match the threat: automated monitoring, early warning indication, anomaly detection, and reporting. Protection that runs in the background, not another task on the checklist. https://lnkd.in/eJMrCvdz

We’re proud to announce that Shift5 achieved National Information Assurance Partnership (NIAP) certification under the Software Full Drive Encryption (SW FDE) Protection Profile. The certification demonstrates that Shift5’s Data-At-Rest Protection (DARP) software meets rigorous U.S. government compliance standards for protecting classified information. This milestone establishes Shift5 as the first and only provider of NIAP-certified OT edge compute, collection, and detection devices capable of handling classified data. What this means for the mission: - Enhanced security for classified data handling - Faster Authority to Operate (ATO) approvals - Flexible encryption key management - Simplified data transport

Today, we honor all who have served our nation. One in four of our teammates are veterans. They've stood watch, led under fire, maintained critical systems. They know what's at stake when technology fails. For many, service doesn't end when they take off the uniform. It just looks different. Swipe to read what Veterans Day means to some of them >
