What does it take to compete at the highest level? Steve Serio, PLY, has won three Paralympic gold medals in wheelchair basketball. He's been Team USA's co-captain, led his college team to a national championship, and served as flag bearer at the 2024 Paris Paralympics. Our Healthline Media team’s film "Live Like A Champion" follows Steve's journey from discovering the sport as a teenager to becoming one of wheelchair basketball's most decorated athletes. Talk about standing on business. Our summer interns just wrapped 10 weeks of owning impactful projects, teaching our leadership team Gen Z slang, and absolutely dominating our office basketball court. At RVO Health, we believe that when you foster an environment of growth, fresh challenges, and learning opportunities, people thrive. Joining teams across our portfolio of brands, including Healthline, Healthgrades, Wellos and more, that’s exactly what these students did. They honed skills in analytics, software, data, marketing, and communication. They brought fresh perspectives that challenged some of our thinking in the best possible ways. But it wasn't all work and no play. From cheering on Charlotte FC together to (let's be honest) crushing some of our senior leaders in tug-of-war at our summer cookout, catching a baseball game, and putting our problem-solving skills to the test in an escape room, we made memories and connections that will last long after summer ends. At RVO Health, one of our core values is “Tend the soil.” We believe that in a healthy environment, people thrive through growth opportunities and fresh challenges. This week, we’re celebrating this value in action as our first group of managers completes the Lead Now program! 🎓 These leaders, the first to pilot Lead Now, met over six weeks to apply real-time coaching techniques, strengthen team engagement, and define their authentic leadership approaches. Their growth strengthens our entire organization and ultimately improves how we serve nearly 100M people monthly on their health journeys. What makes Lead Now different? Participants worked in small, collaborative groups on real business challenges, not just theoretical exercises. As one manager shared, “Lead Now gave me tools and practices to better support my team and our business goals as a better leader, not just as a manager.” The pilot was just the beginning.
