Last week the Radial team joined Mass General Brigham onstage at the American Academy of Home Care Medicine (AAHCM) annual conference - sharing how AI is unlocking earlier, more goal-concordant care at home for people near the end of life. Huge shout-out to my colleagues Anant Vasudevan and Kerry Quealy Son — and our partners at Mass General Brigham, Mark Stoltenberg and Pamela Williams. 🙌 What we showed (real-world results): • ✅ More hospice, earlier: home-based palliative care patients enrolled in hospice far more often - with 20,863 additional hospice days versus matched controls. • ✅ Lower avoidable utilization: 96 fewer inpatient admissions and 182 fewer ED visits in the last 3 months of life (and 308 fewer ED visits across 12 months). • ✅ Meaningful savings where it counts: $6.4M lower non-hospice medical spend in the final 12 months - all while shifting dollars to the care patients actually want. • ✅ Simple idea, big impact: AI flags the right patients for home-based palliative care, then teams act inside existing workflows.
