This week, the Maryland State Highway Administration (SHA) conducted Operation Clean Sweep in Prince George’s County. This initiative brings SHA and the Department of Public Works and Transportation together to clean and maintain our roadways. Crews were out removing litter and enhancing the appearance and safety of our community. We appreciate this continued partnership and remain committed to keeping Prince George’s County clean and beautiful!

NEWS — For years, dual enrollment has helped our high school students earn college credit while still in high school — but only some had the chance to take those classes without ever leaving their school building. That’s about to change. Today, along with Prince George's Community College, Prince George's County, Maryland Executive Aisha Braveboy and the County Council, we announced the expansion of tuition-free college courses to every PGCPS high school by the 2026–27 school year. The program is growing from five schools to nine this school year and will reach all 25 high schools next school year. Courses will be taught by PGCPS educators credentialed as PGCC adjunct professors, creating new pathways for professional growth while expanding college learning within our schools. #PGCPSProud Learn More: https://lnkd.in/enZQeHiq

We are beyond grateful for the $18 million grant renewal from the Maryland General Assembly to the Maryland Consortium to support mental health services for Prince George's County Public Schools' students. 🫂 This grant renewal is projected to provide funding for mental health and crisis care services for an estimated 30,000 students across our public schools. We are excited to continue to be leaders in the State in mental health student support services, as well as advocates for mental health wellness and accessibility. #ElevatePrinceGeorges ↗️
