We’re excited to welcome Burrell College of Osteopathic Medicine students back to Plains Regional Medical Center! Parikshit Thakur Hameer MD, FASN, FNKF and his team are committed to providing future Clovis physicians valuable hands-on experience and increasing access to quality care in underserved areas.

We are excited to announce the completion of the new hybrid operating room (OR) at Presbyterian Hospital. This new space combines imaging and operating technology in one space, including both minimally invasive and open surgical capabilities. Patients don’t need to be moved during procedures, and care teams have everything they need in one room. The hybrid OR supports advanced neuro and heart/vascular care, so patients can get the care they need—here in New Mexico—for treatment of stroke, aneurysms, blocked carotid arteries, and other complex surgical issues. Philanthropy—thanks to our generous donors—totaled $1.5 million, about one-third the cost of the $4.5 million project. #BecauseYouGive

We were proud to have Presbyterian Medical Group's Dr. Denise Gonzales present at last month's Health Inno innovation panel. It's exciting for colleagues from across the state to come together and work on health care challenges like access and workforce development.

Today, we celebrated an incredible group of Presbyterian employees who balanced work, school, clinicals, family life—and supported each other every step of the way—to achieve their dream of becoming nurses. This Presbyterian Nursing Career Pathways cohort showed what resilience, teamwork and heart look like. Their families, friends, coworkers, mentors and classmates lifted them up through long nights, tough exams and early-morning clinicals. And today, they crossed the finish line together. Help us congratulate these remarkable graduates as they begin their nursing careers. We are so proud of you!

Gratitude in action! Presbyterian is teaming up with Eastern New Mexico Medical Center and the Department of Health to share the spirit of Thanksgiving with our neighbors in Chaves County! We’ll be giving away 200 Thanksgiving bags filled with everything families need for a festive holiday meal — and offering a no-cost flu clinic to help everyone stay healthy this season.
