New HUD policies threaten to push tens of thousands of our most vulnerable neighbors back into homelessness. We need our State leaders to step into the breach and keep California’s progress on track. See the full statement below from Bring California Home—a diverse and growing coalition of more than 100 homelessness advocates, affordable housing providers, local government staff, community organizations, and people with lived experience of homelessness, of which PATH is proud to be a part. https://bringcahome.org/

This holiday season, we’re celebrating the people, stories, and moments that remind us what it truly means to make it home. ❤️ Meet Jasmine. After leaving a mentally and emotionally abusive relationship, Jasmine and her four children found safety and support at PATH’s Evans Lane interim housing community for families. With help from her PATH case manager, she began rebuilding her life, finding a job at a local hospital, getting her kids back on track, and working toward stability. Just one year later, Jasmine signed the lease on a beautiful three-bedroom home near her children’s school. Thanks to her strength and the support she received, this family is finally thriving in a place they can call home. 🏡 Together, we can change a life: one meal, one connection, one new beginning at a time. Join us in giving the gift of home this holiday season. Make a gift today: Epath.org/donate #donate #giveback #EndHomelessness #holidays #ChangeALife

It was wonderful seeing so many community members at Assemblymember Christopher Ward’s Third Annual Holiday Soirée last night! The Assemblymember has been a steadfast leader in advancing solutions to homelessness and the housing crisis. My PATH colleagues, Angie Striepling and Zachary Schlagel, and I look forward to continuing our work with the Assemblymember and his team in 2026!

We’re so grateful for our incredible partners at Berry Good Food Foundation! 🌿 Each month, their team visits Ivy Senior Apartments, a Wakeland Housing community, to help transform the garden into a true farm-to-table resource. Together, residents plant, water, and harvest fresh fruits and vegetables, then learn how to prepare them in hands-on cooking classes. 🍅 By breaking down barriers to healthy food and nutrition education, Berry Good Foundation is helping build a more sustainable, healthy future for our community. 💙 We have three other supportive housing community gardens that could use some extra love! If you're interested in volunteering at one of our San Diego sites, please reach out to our San Diego Community Affairs Associate Director, Sigrid Struben, at Sigrids@epath.org to learn more.

The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has proposed drastic funding changes that would pull critical resources away from creating and preserving affordable homes at a time when communities need them most. Shifting funding away from long-term housing solutions means fewer families will find stability, and many people who are housed today could be pushed back into homelessness. This isn’t just about programs; it’s about people. At stake are people’s safety and security, and the strength of entire communities that depend on stable housing to thrive. Swipe through to learn about the impacts and how you can take action today! More details about these changes from our partners at the National Alliance to End Homelessness can be found here: https://bit.ly/3LTSiIi

We love when connection and community come full circle! 💙 Our longtime partners at Eastside Christian Church, who have supported PATH for years through donations, recently joined us in person for the first time at our PATH Orange County interim community. They spent the day hosting board games and card games with our residents, creating moments of fun, laughter, and connection. We’re so grateful for Eastside’s ongoing partnership and the joy they bring to our participants.

Honored to have the opportunity to support the Office of the State Public Defender Indigent Defense Improvement Division mission, to protect the rights and safeguard the liberty of all Californians, by designing and facilitating a training on working with people experiencing homelessness and psychosis. It was also delightful to receive a letter of appreciation for lifting up the voice and experience of a nonprofit service provider! In collaboration with PATH and Marisol Lara.

⚠️🌧️Storms across California are bringing heavy rain, and with that comes flooding and extreme risk to unsheltered individuals. From the Bay Area to San Diego, PATH teams across the state have been providing additional outreach and connecting people to safer options indoors. In Los Angeles, we’re working with the City and County to notify unhoused individuals and connect them to shelters. In Orange County, inclement-weather responses have been activated throughout the weekend. In San Diego, PATH teams have been working in areas prone to flooding, such as the San Diego River, to help bring people out of harm’s way. These additional efforts are saving lives.
