Together with our 661 Foundation we’re excited to announce that the East Side Aquatic Center officially opened in Bakersfield last week. It was made possible by Highland High School alumnus and our CEO, Nate Franklin, who donated $13 million to the design and construction of the center. The state-of-the-art facility on the Highland High School campus serves 4,000 students from three neighboring schools and houses the new B-Town Brazadas Swim Club for the wider community. With an Olympic-sized pool and programs from beginner lessons to competitive teams, it's designed to make swimming accessible to everyone. "At Pacifico, we talk about making an impact where it matters most. For me personally, that's right here at Highland High School, where I learned the values that shaped my career," said Nate, who came up with the initial idea for this project. We are pleased to announce that Pacifico Energy Korea has secured approval for the Electricity Business License (#EBL) from the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy for its 420MW Myeong Ryang Offshore Wind Project in Korea 🌊 ⚡ The EBL confirms the project’s site boundaries and capacity, allowing Pacifico Energy Korea to commence the key permitting process including geotechnical surveys on the site, environmental impact assessment, maritime safety assessment, and other key permitting procedures. “We will continue to work closely with South Jeolla Province, Jindo County, and the local community to ensure the successful development of the Myeong Ryang Offshore Wind Project,” said Seung-Ho Choe (최승호), Representative Director of Pacifico Energy Korea. This milestone also paves the way for accelerating Pacifico Energy Korea’s development of the 3.2GW Jindo offshore wind project cluster - one of the largest offshore wind project clusters of its kind in the Asia-Pacific region. At Pacifico Energy Korea, we firmly believe that, once developed, the 3.2GW Jindo offshore wind project cluster will play a crucial role not only in revitalizing the local economy and creating jobs, but also in supporting the establishment of RE100 industrial complexes and the advancement of the offshore wind supply chain in South Jeolla Province. ⚡🌐 Pacifico Energy Unveils 5 GW Off-Grid Power Campus to Fuel AI Innovation 🤖🔋 Pacifico Energy is developing GW Ranch, an 8,000-acre off-grid power generation campus in Pecos County, Texas, designed to support hyperscale data centers and the rapid growth of artificial intelligence. By combining 5 GW of natural gas generation with 1.8 GW of advanced battery storage, the project will deliver unmatched reliability, greater than 99.99% uptime, without relying on the ERCOT grid. The phased buildout will bring 1 GW online in 2028 and scale to the full 5 GW by 2030, offering speed-to-deployment that sidesteps interconnection delays and regulatory bottlenecks. With dual pipelines, modular design, and N+2 redundancy, GW Ranch is purpose-built for digital infrastructure, while also creating new jobs, tax revenue, and investment for West Texas.
