They're asking to be taken seriously. 🔗: https://on.wsj.com/491KJsD As women in the workforce, especially those in leadership positions, become more comfortable talking about how menopause-related symptoms such as insomnia, hot flashes, brain fog, heart palpitations and anxiety affect them on the job, more employers are offering support. Those benefits may include access to menopause specialists, coverage for medical treatments, educational resources and in-office amenities including quiet rooms and “comfort closets” stocked with supplies such as fans and deodorant. The share of U.S. employers with 200 or more employees that offer menopause benefits jumped to 25% this year from 15% in 2023, according to HR consulting firm Mercer. The goal, many companies say, is to prevent women from dialing back—or dropping out of the workforce—at a critical time in their careers. The move by employers to offer menopause support also coincides with growing interest in wellness at work, particularly around women and families.
