Today, we received a thoughtful gift from our friends at Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island in celebration of #NonprofitAppreciationMonth. We are grateful to be part of Rhode Island’s nonprofit community, where service, collaboration, and compassion are at the heart of everything we do. Thank you to BCBSRI for your support—and thank you to the nonprofits and local supporters who show up every day to make a difference! 💙
Today, Ocean State Media team members attended the R.I.S.E. Women’s Leadership Conference! We got the opportunity to participate in meaningful and exciting breakout sessions and keynotes, while also connecting with attendees at our Ocean State Media table. Most notably, we celebrated our President and CEO, Pamela Johnston, who is the 2025 R.I.S.E. Trailblazer and Leadership Honoree! #risewlc2025 #WomenSupportingWomen #LeadershipMatters

Federal funding for public media is on the chopping block — for Rhode Island PBS & The Public's Radio, that means a potential loss of $1 million dollars. The loss would be devastating, impacting our capacity to deliver trusted local journalism, educational programming, and community events across Rhode Island. I joined Luis Hernandez on The Public’s Radio to talk about what’s at risk and how you can help. Now is the time to stand with us, speak out, and protect public media. You voice and support has never mattered more. https://lnkd.in/e72FXvz4

I had the best time working on this installation for Rhode Island PBS & The Public's Radio! They were looking for a moveable mural. I started thinking about some of the essential values that PBS and The Public’s Radio live and work by: community and communication. I imagined how I would tell someone about Rhode Island and Southern Massachusetts, and immediately thought of postcards. One thing led to another, and voila: giant postage stamps. I hired a wonderful woodworker to cut plywood into postage stamp shapes. I painted the plywood at home and installed them at the Providence station.
