  • We’re overjoyed to share that our first foster family has just completed the process to license their home!❤️🏡 🥳 This incredible family has opened their hearts and home to a child in need. Because of their “yes,” a child who once knew uncertainty will now know safety. They’ll have a warm bed to call their own, someone to cheer them on for life events, and a home filled with love instead of fear. 🫂 Their decision doesn’t just change one life; it ripples through our community—just like your support. It gives a child safety and stability today, and hope for tomorrow. It inspires others to consider fostering. It reminds us all of the power of compassion in action. 🙌 Every child deserves a place to belong—and thanks to this family, one more child has found exactly that. ❤️  . . . 🙋♀️🙋♂️ Want to learn about Foster Program? • Happy #TeamTuesday! 🥳 Meet one of our amazing Youth Care Specialists, Courtney! She’s been at NWACS for about a year and has witnessed firsthand the strength and resilience of the kids in our care. An unforgettable moment came when a boy at the Shelter constantly refused bedtime. Instead of discipline, Courtney chose connection. At first, she didn’t understand why he hated bedtime so much. They had a conversation and he explained why he couldn’t relax. She proceeded with a new approach for bedtime– using skincare facemasks! Courtney always made sure to do facemasks with him to put his mind at ease and signal that it was time to relax. The boy appreciated this nightly routine and how gentle Courtney is❤️ When the boy left the Shelter, he wrote her a heartfelt letter where he shared that Courtney made him feel seen and heard. Through patience, honesty, and keeping promises, Courtney builds trust with the kids. Whether she’s listening to serious issues with empathy or joining in on their hobbies, she reminds every child: you are not alone, and you matter. #FosterCare #TeamTuesday #StaffSpotlight #BuildingHope
